Day 16

I slept in today again after having a late night. I got ready and packed up for the move today.

I left Sunset Station and went up to the laundromat in Henderson that I use to drop off my laundry at. From there I went to Arizona Charlie's Decatur. They are running 10x points today and I've fallen off of their mailing list over the last few years so figured this would be a good day to play there. I was also about 1 day of play short of maintaining my card level with Golden Entertainment.

I started off with lunch at the Sourdough Cafe. I had a Cobb Salad that was so good I ate the entire thing. I used points to cover the bill and then hit the casino.

All of the 10 plays were being used at the time so I opted for 2¢ DW44 instead. Things started off well with lots of dealt winners. I got dealt a hand with 3 deuces and hit deuces on 6 lines. I also got dealt a quint soon after that.

I continued to pound away and hit all sorts of stuff including a royal flush with no deuces and various hands with one or 2 sets of deuces. I also got dealt another hand with 3 deuces and scored 4 more sets on that draw.

All in total I did just over 10k, hit 1 royal, deuces 18 times and cashed out with a $300 win.

I moved to a new machine and played 10 play 8/5 bonus. I started off hovering and hit a royal on a 4 card hold. A few minutes later I got dealt 4 to a royal again but didn't score again. The machine went dead after this and I was swinging +/- $200-$300 at any given time. When I had my play in I was up $702.

On my way out I stopped at the gift shop because Legit card holders get a $3 gift shop credit each day. I grabbed a water and some snacks and headed to the car.

I left Arizona Charlie's and drove over to the Rio where I would be spending the next 3 nights. I booked this on an offer for 3 nights and $250 dining credit to one of the restaurants on the list. I already reserved Voodoo Steak for Tuesday with Jimbo & Katy. I checked in at the diamond check in area. Things were really slow here and I think I could have checked in faster in the regular check in area in the gold line. I was given room 1684 in the Ipanema tower.

This is a king room with nightstands, a table and chairs, couch, coffee table, dresser/TV stand. There is a view of Palms and Gold Coast. The bathroom is 2 rooms. A vanity outside, and inside there is another vanity, the toilet and tub/shower combo.

I threw my stuff in the room and went to dinner at Guy Fieri's El Burro Borracho. I got an order of Carne Asada tacos. It's 3 tacos, rice and beans. The food is good but the serving size is weak with 3 small street tacos and a small scoop of rice and beans for $21. To top that off the service sucked really bad despite it not being that busy. I waited 20 minutes just to pay the bill at the end of the meal. I have no idea where my server went.

After dinner I went to the diamond lounge for some dessert. They had a small selection of items to choose from but they did the trick.

Next I came up here just to wind down for the evening even though it was still fairly early.
