Happy Canada Day to my Canadian Readers
I have gotten into the rut of sleeping late every day. Today was no exception.

I got ready for the day and took the ride to Henderson to get my laundry.

I headed out of the laundromat and went downtown. Today my plan was to play at Binion's. We both have offers for 3 nights, $50 food and $300 free play. I would also be turning in the ACG coupon for double points (up to 500) and the LVA $10 free play coupon.

When I got there my first move was lunch. I got a “famous” burger at the deli. This is one of my favorite lunches downtown. I tried to pay the bill with Dee's card but the guy at the counter caught me so I played dumb and gave him my card.

Against my better judgment I started off playing for dollars. It was not a good session with only 3 quads that whole time and few full houses. I dropped $500 by the time I got my action in.

I went over to the players club to have my ACG and LVA coupons added to my account. I was about to run my free play through and my friend Pat came over. We weren't planning on meeting until Wednesday so this was cool to see him.

I ran my free play through DW44 for a change of pace turning the $310 free play into $275 cash.

For dinner I went to Benny's Smokin' BBQ and Brews. I got the rack of ribs. It's one of the best deals in town and one of my favorites too. There has been a small price increase since the last time I was here. It appears that everything went up $2. I tried using Dee's card to cover the bill and this time it worked so, thanks for dinner Dee. ♥

After dinner I went back to the machines to play on Dee's card. In the name of saving time I decided to play short pay on the 5 plays. While giving up EV, time is money so I bit the bullet. The session started out well with some dealt winners and a few quads. I was quickly up $300 and then the bleed started. I went from getting those dealt winners to clawing for a pair of jacks. Next thing I knew I was feeding in more bills. As always the part that pissed me off the most was the last 100 points ($800 coin in) costing me $300. By the time I was done I was down $650 and not happy camper. If I wanted to lose that much I could have played dollars. While the shorted full house cost me, it certainly wasn't the reason for the losses this session.

I ran Dee's free play through 8/5 bonus for quarters on single line. I turned her $300 free play into $370 thanks to quad eights. Overall the losses weren't terrible. It was more of how the losses took place that aggravated me.

I left Binion's and came back to the Rio and wrapped up the evening.
