Day 21

Today I was up early, got a few things done and then hit the pool for about 90 minutes. I came back and got ready for the day.

I had an early lunch at the Club House Deli and got the Italian Dip sandwich. While I was eating Jimbo & Katy arrived. They are staying here for the rest of their trip too.

Next up I went to the players club and turned in a few more vouchers for free play and food from the online games I've been playing.

Now it was time to play. I decided on 10 play for quarters and began. Pretty standard session with normal ups and downs. To keep myself alive I hit not one but 2 ultra dreaded A2345 straight flushes. While I was playing my friend Albert arrived. He went to lunch and I kept plugging along. I cashed out of one machine and moved to another next to Jimbo & Katy. Still the same until I held four to a royal and landed the dreaded king high straight flush. Oh yeah, I hit a royal on line 3 as well and that took the sting out of the straight flush. Things got tough and I cashed out with only a $500 win.

Yahtzee Mike and Camela arrived to hang out for the day. We took a break in the Summerlin Room for some snacks and conversation.

I returned to the machines after this and had another up and down session. The killer for me was getting dealt trips 11 times and only hit 2 quads on one hand. The rest of the time no quads showed up. This was painful. A set of aces and a straight flush kept me alive followed by a few bonus quads. I cashed out with a $100 win and it was time for dinner.

We had reservations for 5:30pm at Jade for the 6 of us. We all ordered something and Yahtzee Mike told the waiter to surprise him. He surprised him alright, with a whole red snapper.

After dinner Mike and Camela left, Albert went to play pai gow, Katy played video poker and me and Jimbo met up with my friend Gary in the casino. He was stopping by for a few minutes to see a friend in one of the bands playing tonight and to see all of us.

Gary headed off and me and Jimbo joined Katy for video poker. I chose 5 play for halves this time. Streakier as hell and up and down. I'd go a long time between winners and then hit a bunch. While we were playing there was an earthquake in California and it was shaking here in Las Vegas. About 15-20 seconds the bank of machines rocked back and forth. There was also an earthquake yesterday that was felt here in Las Vegas but I didn't feel it. When I was finished playing I was down $395 and aggravated that the last $200 disappeared in about 3 minutes.

I ran my free play through single line halves and turned the $275 into $350 thanks to quad fours.

I finished up the night in the room watching TV and relaxing.
