Day 5
Tuesday December 17, 2019
I got up and had to use up some more of the $500 folio I had as part of the 7* trip. I still had $347 of folio credit left so I went to Raiders/Knights store and the gift shop to burn it. I got some Golden Knights shirts and a watch that I don't need.

I checked my account and everything was in order with a $10.40 balance so I used Reward Credits to cover that leaving a zero balance.

I packed up the rest of my stuff and headed out. All in all it was a decent 7* trip and I had some great meals with some great friends. Thanks to all those that helped burn those comps so they wouldn't go to waste. Anyone wanna buy a watch?

I got the car and was on my way. Today's move is going to take me to Laughlin. The drive is usually a bore and today was no exception.

I stopped at Jack In The Box for a quick Taco lunch and used the gift card Yahtzee Mike gave me last year to cover the whopping $1.29 total. Thanks for lunch Mike! I made a few other shopping stops along the way and then over to the Aquarius.

Around 3pm I pulled into The Aquarius where I'd be spending the next 5 nights. I booked this through my host using a birthday mail offer that gives me a Majestic Suite and 50,000 points ($50 cash, OR $100 Free Play OR $166 in comps). I also have my regular mail offer that has $440 free play.

When I arrived I checked in at the VIP area. My host was off today so I grabbed my things and just got settled in. I was given Suite number 17068. This is the giant suite at the end of the hallway with great views of the mountains, river and Home Depot. It has a very large living room with a dining room table, couch, chairs, work desk, dresser and a huge TV. There is also a wet bar area with refrigerator at the entrance and a powder room in the far corner.

The bedroom is about the same as a standard room here with a king bed, nightstands, dresser, another giant TV and work desk. The bathroom is narrow with a shower/tub on the left and long vanity with sinks and the toilet.

The giant TVs are a new addition to these rooms. They used to have the same 32 inch TVs that the regular rooms had.

I got everything settled into the room and it was time to play. The first thing I did was swipe my card to activate today's multiplier. They've already made a change to the program since my last trip and now video poker gets a different multiplier than slots and tables. This is the 3rd version of the players club here since the beginning of the year and each change gets tighter and tighter. Hopefully they've got that out of their system and stop fucking with things. I got a 5x multiplier for slots and tables and 4x for video poker.

For dinner I went to Cafe Aquarius. I ordered open face turkey which is very good here. It filled me up and I was off to the casino.

Now it was time to play. I started off with some 10 play action. It was an up and down session but not too bad. Thanks to 4 different straight flushes, 5 hands with double quads, a set of aces and some dealt winners and I still dropped $150 on 13k in action.

I took a break from the machines and went to the sports book to watch the Golden Knights play Minnesota Wild. After the first period I hit the machines during intermission. It was a short but very good session because I hit a royal and cashed out with an $800 win and went back to watch the 2nd period.

During the next intermission I went back to the machines and had a pretty smooth session although I still dropped another bill. It was time for the 3rd period so I went back to the sports book to watch. The Knights won it 3-2 and moved into first place depending on how the Phoenix came finished.

I got more play in after the game and a streaky session with long patches of noting and then long patches of nice winners. After another 7k I was down another $300 and cashed out. I did not want to lose the whole royal so I quit while I could.

I ran $400 free play through 8/5 bonus for two dollars taking a shot and turned it into $390 in cash thanks to lots of trips and 2 pair.

I finished up the remaining $40 free play on one of my favorite penny games and got crushed turning it into just $20 and change with no hits at all.

I wrapped up the night in the room watching TV and winding down before going to bed.
