Day 9

I got slept in again today as has been the theme so far this trip.

I hit the casino and I swiped my card at the kiosk for today's multiplier. I got 3x for video poker and 4x for slots and tables.

I played airport deuces spin poker with Super Times Pay for a few minutes while I was waiting for Jimbo & Katy. When they arrived I was up 3 bucks and quit!

Jimbo and Katy were leaving today and going back to Las Vegas so we met up for lunch at Cafe Aquarius. I had the chicken fingers which are very good. The service kind of sucked in here this morning. It was the usual holiday season issue. Short staff the place because it's supposed to be slow but then it got busy and they couldn't handle the rush.

Katy had a comp so covered the bill. Thanks for lunch Katy!

After breakfast Jimbo & Katy headed back to Las Vegas and I headed over to Bullhead City to get a few items. While I was over there I grabbed a milkshake at Jack in the Box (thanks Mike). I also gassed up the car for tomorrow's drive back to Las Vegas.

I came back to Laughlin and went to the Golden Nugget. I haven't played here in over 3 years and have fallen off of the mailing list. I played a Spin Poker game for dimes and the plan was to do 5k to see what sort of offers that would generate. I got dealt quad sevens but other than that nice hit there weren't many at all. Luckily there were enough smaller hits to stay alive. After 5k in action I was down $22.

I came back over to the Aquarius and started playing here. I decided since I was still up quite a bit for this trip I'd take a shot with some dollar action. I started off with triple play and couldn't hit much of anything. I switched to 5 five play and it remained tough until I got dealt quad jacks. Soon after I hit quad aces and them hit them again soon after that. I also hit a fair amount of other quads any the way and got dealt some flushes and full houses. I had the meter up over $2700 and cashed out at $2205 for a $1205 win.

For dinner I went to Cafe Aquarius. I ordered the Saiman, formerly known as Sign of the Zodiac Soup. It's noodles, vegetables, pork, chicken, scallops and shrimp. I get it with no seafood and extra pork. It did the trick and I was on my way.

With all of my play done for the trip I had a lot of points to cash in so converted what I had for $500 in free play leaving a little bit for next time. I played it through 50˘ 9/6 jacks and turned it into $517 cash.

As I was walking through the casino I saw a favorite slot machine I like so loaded $25 free play onto it. Things weren't going well but I hit a few bonus rounds to stay alive. Then I hit a lightning round and the coins that triggered it were already worth over 50 bucks. During the spins I hit a few more good ones and ended the bonus round with $90. I cashed out at $125. Not bad for 10 minutes of slot play and a $25 buy in.

For a snack I went to Duet to get some pastry for tonight and tomorrow morning. I told the cashier to room charge it and she used my points. Is it really that hard when I say “room charge” and you say, “sure” to actually room charge it? Not a big deal at only $10. It's just the principle and more proof that people can't follow simple instruction.

I wrapped up the night getting packed up for tomorrow's move and watching TV.
