Day 11
Monday December 23, 2019
I slept in this morning really late. It was close to 11am. I got a text from Yahtzee Mike and we talked for a bit. He's in town and we would meet up later tonight.

Now, finally ready I started off with lunch at the Summerlin Room. Nothing fancy but enough to do the trick. Jimbo & Katy arrived earlier and I met them here.

Next up it was time to hit the casino. I played 10 play and it was similar to yesterday. No major hits but was ahead by over 2 bills before the bleed started. I cashed out down about $100 on 7k in action.

Today they are running a promo where you earn 100 points and get a free apple pie, up to 2. Just what I need.

I went back to the machines and had a decent session. The highlight was being dealt quad eights. That was really the only highlight to mention. Everything else was rough and I cashed out dead even. This was after hitting the dealt quad.

I got ready to go and left Rampart. For dinner I went to over to Red Rock to meet up with Norm. He's wanted to take me to dinner to return the favor I've done for him many times. He made reservations at T Bones. I've never been here before and was looking forward to it.

I got to Red Rock early and wandered around and checked the place out. I haven't played here since 2016 and wouldn't be tonight either.

I found Norm at one of his favorite machines and we went to the restaurant. Really nice place but not snooty. We both ordered the filet. Norm got a side of tater tots and I got creamed spinach. The server said the sides are large enough to share. The food arrived cooked perfectly to order. The tots were excellent. Almost like mashed potatoes in a crispy potato crust. The creamed spinach was nice and not overloaded with garlic like it is many times.

For dessert I had the peanut butter caramel sundae. Really good and the pop corn on it really made it.

Mike and Camela came up to see to Norm and to play a bit so after dinner we met up for a while in the casino. We made plans for tomorrow and we were all on our way. I gave Norm those pies from Rampart and he seemed happy!

I came back to Rampart to get the rest of my play in. It was another session that couldn't be better. I started growing the meter right away with some “stuff” and for the second set of dealt quad eights of the day. These were followed by more stuff a few quads, a straight flush and 5 sets of aces as the meter kept growing. I did go through some rough patches but rode them out. When I thought it couldn't get better I landed the 5th royal flush of the trip. I played a bit longer and then decided to lock up some of the wins with my coin in right around where I wanted it to be.

I was done playing for the night so ran today's free play through single line and turned the $300 free play into just $175 cash in a tough run. The best hand I had was my last hand hitting trips.

I came up to the room after cashing out and watched TV and went to bed.
