Day 15
Friday December 27, 2019
Today is a moving day even though I have the room for the night. Originally when I booked this I was supposed to leave tomorrow afternoon. But because United fucked with my flights I'm now taking the red eye home tomorrow night. I always like to have a room when I leave that late so I'll be moving later.

I met Jimbo for lunch at the buffet. Standard issue for this buffet. Jimbo used a 2 for 1 coupon and charged the other buffet to the room. Thanks for lunch Jimbo!

Me and Jimbo played some blackjack after lunch. It started out good but then got really nasty. The dealer pulled a bunch of 21's and blackjacks and in 2 decks went from +20 to -100 and quit while I had the chance.

We went to the Summerlin room for snacks and then I stopped by to settle up everything with my host and to reserve my room for March. The three of us said our goodbyes for the trip. They were going to play and I was going to get ready to leave.

I came up to the room, grabbed my things and headed out. Today's move is downtown to Binion's. I booked this through a host using my November – December mailer that's good for 3 nights (I booked 2), $50 food credit and $300 free play. I didn't need the room tonight but I did want to have it all day tomorrow so needed to check in tonight. Even though I had the room at Rampart, I didn't feel like driving back and forth so decided to stay here for the night.

The reason I booked this offer was so I could try out the new Apache Hotel that opened up this past summer. This is the 53rd different casino/hotel I'm staying at in the Las Vegas area.

Checking in was easy (the check in area is by the BBQ joint). I was assigned room 388. The room is small but they did a good job with the space. It has 1 queen bed, nightstands, a table, chairs, fridge and TV. The bathroom is basic with toilet, tub and sink. There is no view and the windows are done in stained glass. This place is supposed to be haunted and has been on TV. I don't believe in that crap so I'm not scared. I wish Dee was here though because she loved watching Ghost Hunters on TV. I used to make fun of it.

I got started with 8/5 bonus for dollars. I'm not a huge fan of dollar single line because of the swings but I wanted to get this play through. Things started off well with some full houses and filling in a few flush 4 hands. I also hit aces, a straight flush and a regular quad. I was up over $450 and smooth sailing. It got bad and over $300 disappeared, mostly in a stretch where I went about 30 hands with no winners. I took a dinner break up just $100 with only 1/3 of my action in.

For dinner I went to Benny's Smokin' BBQ and Brews. I usually get the ribs but tonight decided to change it up and got the brisket platter. It comes with corn, baked beans, cole slaw and corn bread all for 11 bucks!

After dinner I went back to the machines and got in more play. This time around it wasn't very good at all. I did hit a bonus quad and a few regular quads but I got low paired to death. Now I've been low paired to death before but this was ridiculous. I blew through the $400 ticket I had and reloaded with another $200, now in for $500. It stayed the same and I blew through that. Now down $500 after being up $450 and I'm not happy. I still needed another 100 points or so to top off my play and this cost me another $150 for a total loss of $650. Now I'm irate that I went from being up $450 to down $650, an $1100 swing on less than 8k in action.

I ran my $300 free play through halves turning the $300 into $200 in cash in another blood bath.

I went over to the Golden Nugget after this and played 8/6 jacks on the 50 play machine with just 10 lines. I did 5k and dropped $198.

I had $40 free play that I ran through a slot and got crushed turning it into $16 cash.

Dee also had $75 free play so I ran that through a favorite slot of hers and turned her $75 free play into $79 cash thanks to a spin that paid 4500 coins.

I decided to take one more shot and bought in at the craps table. This table was choppy and a battle. I gave up down $265 which was a gift considering how choppy it was.

I had enough for the day so decided to come up here to the room to watch TV and get some sleep.
