Day 3
Monday February 24, 2020
I was up early today and started my play here at the D. Before I started to play I went to the players club to get my match play chips from my offer as well as the ACG. I also turned in the coupon for $5 in free play for every 50 points up to $100.

Next I went up to the Vue Bar and started pounding away at the quarter progressives. The royal was over $1400 and the straight flush was recently hit.

This started out really tough. I couldn't hit anything. I had dropped 2 bills on just 1k in action with no quads.

I switched to halves and it was just as bad dropping another 2 bills on just $1300 in action. The only difference was hitting a quad.

I took a break for lunch and went over to the Four Queens with Albert and Candace. I had the gumbo as usual. Candace ordered the lasagna lunch special and they brought her a slab of lasagna that could feed an army so she gave me a piece of that. It was actually pretty good for a coffee shop. Albert covered the bill with his comps so once again, thanks for the meal Albert.

After lunch I was back up at the Vue Bar to continue pounding away. It was similar to earlier with yet another $200 dump and again with no quads on $1400 in action. This day is very quickly starting to suck really bad.

I decided to switch it up to dollars to get the rest of the play in hoping that maybe I'd start hitting some quads too. It started out smooth but then took a nasty turn. I'd go 10 hands with no wins, push, then lose 10 more I went from hovering round even to being down over 4 bills in about 10 minutes. I finally hit a quad followed by a bunch of full houses and got back to nearly even. Then the bleeding process started all over again. It was like an instant replay. I hit a couple of quads and another bunch of full houses and actually got ahead by 50 bucks and cashed out even just a little bit short to max out the coupon.

I took a break for a while and wandered around Fremont Street before heading back to the D for dinner.

For dinner I had a reservation at Andiamo with my friend Norm. This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I ordered the giant meatball in marinara with ricotta. For my entree I ordered the rib eye. As always the food was excellent. For dessert I had a pistachio cream cake that was excellent. I covered the bill with the food credit that came with my offer and some of my built up comps.

After dinner I hit the machines again to wrap up my play. The final result was down $39 but I finally hit a quad. Of course it was right after someone else hit one so the meter was just above reset.

I went to the players club to have the free play added from the coupon. I now had a total of $175 in free play. I ran it through halves and turned it into $160 cash.

Next up I went over to the Golden Nugget. Dee had an offer for a kiosk game and won $50 in free play. I ran this through one of her favorite slots (Texas Tea). Only 2 weak bonuses and no major hits and turned the $50 free play into $33 cash.

I came to the D and remembered Dee had $75 free play as well. I ran that through 8/5 bonus for halves and turned it into $60 cash. I had enough for the day and called it quits.

I wrapped up the night in the room watching TV.
