Day 8
Saturday February 29, 2020
I got up early today and met up with Yahtzee Mike. I swiped my card for today's multiplier and got 3x for slots and table games and 2x for video poker. I also printed my vouchers for the VIP Brunch buffet.

We went to the VIP buffet that I get for being Legit card level. As always this buffet is mediocre at best and the only difference in the VIP area is table cloths, cloth napkins and a few additional food items. Oh yeah, and it's free! We sat with Lolly and her friend and had a good time.

After breakfast it was time to play. I took a shot at 10 play again and the session was starting to look like yesterday. I was down $470 and had a mini comeback when I held trip aces and scored 2 sets. A few hands later I held 3 cards to a double inside straight flush and oddly hit one on lines 2 and 3. Seems almost impossible. Things got a little better from there and I was actually up a little bit. I cashed out and took a break up $1.25.

I took a walk up and down the river walk and came back to the Aquarius and came up to the room for a bit.

Back to the VP machines I tried 10 play again. I had a good run with lots of “stuff” as Dee used to call it. Just a good number of quads including aces and a straight flush. I cashed out with a $400 win.

For a quick dinner we went to Duet and I had a smoked brisket pannini. It was just so-so but did the trick.

It was time for us to go to the KISS concert over at the Laughlin Events Center. Our seats were section 105, Row L, Seats 24 & 25. They were worth $135 a piece so a pretty nice comp. Not as nice as others got like those people that ended up in the suite! The seats would have been good if everyone didn't stand up. For a bunch of old guys, KISS can still rock and put on a good show. They did just over 2 hours.

We came back to the hotel and played a little more video poker. I was up and down and cashed out with about a $100 loss after being up $100.

I cashed in $500 worth of points and ran it through triple play quarters. A few good dealt winners got me out with $475 cash.

It was getting late so I just came up to the room to go to bed and made plans to meet up with Mike for breakfast before we both headed out in the morning.
