Day 2
Sunday August 16, 2020
I was up early this morning and had a quick in room breakfast and got caught up on e-mails.

It was still early so I went to the pool for a while before it got too hot. It's supposed to be hot with near record heat today.

After the pool I came up to the room and got ready for the day.

Today the plan was to play here at Tuscany. They are running a free play promotion. Depending on the number of points earned you can earn up to $125 in free play.

Since my last visit here they removed the 3/5 plays with 8/5 bonus on them. The alternative is now airport deuces. I found a 10 play for quarters and started playing. It was a good start with lots of “stuff” as Dee used to call it. Before I knew it, I was up over $200. I continued to pound away and hit four deuces on line 10 and was now up $500. Can't stop now and kept going. Out of nowhere on a 2 card hold I hit my first royal of the trip. The odd thing was the machine locked up for a hand pay. What the hell. I was paid quickly but the attendant broke down the last $100 into twenties. Nice try. I'm not tipping on a hand pay that shouldn't be a hand pay.

For a late lunch my friends Anne and Steve came over. They arrived as I was awaiting my hand pay. They went to get new cards and played for a bit. I continued to plug away but things got really tough. I blew through $400 in about 15 minutes. I cashed out with a $100 win plus the royal.

We went to Marilyn's Cafe for lunch. I had the pork chops. Quite good I have to say and cooked nicely for a coffee shop. All of our food was good and did the trick.

Anne and Steve left and I went back to the machines. This time I tried deuces on spin poker. This was a disaster. I dropped 3 bills on less than 1k in action. That hurt.

I decided to switch things up and played 7/5 bonus. Not a great play but with the promo and my mailer free play, it is reasonable. Blew through another $200 fairly quickly. I switched machines (the first one had a shitty button). This machine was instantly better. Dealt winners, quads, dealt jacks, followed by dealt fours just a few hands later. I finally maxed out the promo at 10,000 points and cashed out with over $700 in profit from this machine. It would have been really good had I not just blown 5 bills before this hit.

I went to the players club to get the $100 that came with my offer loaded. I also had $50 on my account from a survey I did back during the shut down. Next I stopped at the kiosk to have the promo free play added as well. I ran that through 7/5 bonus triple play quarters. I turned the $275 free play into $330 cash thanks to quad sevens and deuces.

I had my play in and free play run through so caught the 3rd period of the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Chicago. The Blackhawks avoided the sweep so they'll play game 5 on Tuesday.

It was still early so I decided to take a drive over to the Pinball Hall of Fame. An inexpensive good time but every time I go more and more machines aren't working properly. I was hoping that since it was so much slower Tim could get caught up on all of the repairs.

I came back to the room after this and finished up the night with some TV and then sleep.

Total coin in for the day $10,525
Total win/loss for the day + $1734
Total Comps for the day $371
