Day 3
Monday August 17, 2020
After I got up and had a quick breakfast in the room I got ready for the day and went downtown.

The plan today was to hit Binion's. I have a mailer that has $375 free play along with some room nights and food credits. They are also running a promo giving $10 free play for every 100 points earned. The plan is to do my normal play here of 1500 points to collect the additional $150 free play.

I started with 8/5 bonus for dollars. I was 2/3 of the way through the play and only down around $300. I got dealt quad tens twice, drew quad tens, and then hit queens. The last 4k in action saw me losing another $700. The worst ever when it comes to being low paired to death. I was down almost 11 bills by the time I was done, and not happy.

I switched over to Dee's card and started over. Not too bad hitting a quad then bleeding it right back. I hit aces to get back in it but that was it for a while. I was 1/3 of the way through the play and I took a break for lunch at the Deli. I got one of their “famous” burgers that have become one of my favorite lunches in town.

After lunch I took a walk up and down Fremont Street. I popped in and out of each casino and played a few penny games at each place. Nothing really good until the Golden Gate where I hit a bonus round for over $200.

I went back to Binion's to continue pounding away at the video poker machines. Things were fairly smooth for the most part. I wasn't hitting enough quads to keep going. I did manage to hit queens and nines about ten hands apart to keep things from being a total disaster.

I wrapped up the play down $350. It was just a tough day with no bonus quads other than the aces.

I went over to the players club to have the $150 free play added to my account. In total I've got $525. I also got my $75 voucher to Whiskey Licker Up.

That's where I went for dinner. I had the chicken strips, cheesy potato chips, and a beer. I also got apple pie for dessert to go. The food was pretty good. The exception being the chicken a little over cooked and the breading slightly burned.

After dinner I took one more walk up and down Fremont Street popping in and out of each casino again.

When I got back to Binion's I had enough play in for the day so I ran our free play through the machines. I did both of the plays on dollars. I turned Dee's $375 free play into $375 cash. I turned my $525 free play into $500 cash. This kept the day from being a total disaster.

With everything done decided to just head out and come back to Tuscany. I packed up my things for the move tomorrow.

Total coin in for the day $24,900
Total win/loss for the day - $293 <-- Thanks to free play and slots! It could have been way worse.
Total Comps for the day $992
