Day 7
Friday August 21, 2020
I got up early today and packed up my things and got ready for today's move.

Last night I had a filling come out of one of my teeth so I spent the morning trying to find a dentist to fix me up. I finally found a place in South Lake Tahoe, CA that wasn't booked up. Something I always wanted to do was go to the dentist on vacation.

I took another walk over to the Hard Rock again to use yet another $25 free play voucher. A quick run through and it became $4 in cash.

From there I came back to Harvey's, got my things and checked out.

I went to my dentist appointment. Thanks to Tahoe Dentist office for getting me in after 5 other places turned me down.

When I left the dentist, I decided to take the long way back to Reno and took a drive around the lake. This is something I've never done before. It took about 2 ˝ hours to get to the turn off back to Reno. Very scenic and I was glad I took the time to do it. The only issue was the smoke from the wild fires in California took visibility way down. I enjoyed the scenery and the ride.

The rest of the ride back to Reno was uneventful. I arrived at the Silver Legacy around 4:00pm. I booked this offer using a couple of offers. The phone agent allowed me to book back to back so I could get all 3 nights comped. I also have $50 free play and $30 comps with this room offer. With that said, Eldorado Resorts just recently completed their purchase of Caesars Entertainment and I was able to tier match my 7* card to their top tier of Chairman. If needed I can also transfer some reward credits to this card to cover my food.

I was able to check in fairly quickly. I was given room 3429. This room has 2 queen beds with a nightstand, a dresser, chair and work desk and TV. The bathroom is standard issue with a shower, toilet and vanity. It has a view of Circus – Circus and other parts of downtown.

I grabbed my stuff and got everything up to the room and it was time to hit the casino. First stop was the players club to get my shiny new players cards.

I decided to grab something to eat at the Central Cafe at Silver Legacy. I had the War Wonton Soup. It's veggies, chicken, shrimp, pork and wontons in chicken broth. I passed on the shrimp and got extra pork.

After dinner I walked through the casinos at “The Row” as they call it (Eldorado, Silver Legacy & Circus – Circus). It was creepy seeing Harrah's dark and never opening again because it was sold to a company for a non gaming property. The very first Harrah's is no more. I played a few penny games along the way with some pretty good luck. A few nice hits and a few bonus rounds. Hit and run baby.

Now it was time for video poker. I started with 100 play jacks or better for nickels. This was awful. I only got 4 dealt winners. One three of a kind, one jacks, and 2 two pair. That was it. Down 6 bills in no time I retreated and found a 50 play machine. This was much better with lots of dealt winners. Just a few minutes in I was dealt quad fours. I also got dealt trips quite often. I was hovering nicely and then hit a royal flush on a three card hold. I was actually up for the day after this even after the beating I took on the 100 play.

I decided to give up with a small profit. It was nice to have a winning day after the losses I took the last few days.

I wrapped up my play and then came up to the room to wrap up the night after a pretty long day.

Total coin in for the day $9,000
Total win/loss for the day + $285
Total Comps for the day $154
