Day 11

I got up early today and after a quick breakfast went downtown where I'd be spending most of the day. The plan downtown today is to play at the D using my August mailer. I have $100 free play, $100 in match play, $125 in food and thanks to my Southwest Boarding Pass another $50 in match plays. I'll be adding those to the $475 I've hoarded over the past year or so for a total of $625. That should make for a nice blackjack session later on.
I'm also planning on playing at the Golden Nugget to take advantage of a mail offer I have there. It's got $50 free play and there is also a gift promo offering tailgating selections. I also booked 2 nights here so I'd have a place to take breaks for the next 2 days because I plan on playing down here tomorrow.
I started my play at the D on blackjack. Standard session. Won the hands I should win, lost the ones I should lose. I got one blackjack during the session. One killer was pulling a 5 card 21 and then having the dealer do the same. I colored up with $475 in winnings, tipped the dealer and ran to the cage.
Next was video poker. I played for halves. Standard and very smooth session and cashed out near even. I ran my $100 free play through and turned it into $130 thanks to a few flushes and straights.
I took a walk up Fremont Street popping in and out of each place playing a few penny games like I have enjoyed doing in the past. At the Fremont I had a really nice hit on one machine and over at the Golden Nugget hit one of the biggest bonuses I've ever hit and clearing my biggest win ever on a penny game.
When I stopped by the Golden Nugget I checked in. It was dead here.
I was given room 21220 in the Rush tower. This room has a king bed with nightstands on both sides. There is also a work desk, dresser, couch and TV. The bathroom is standard with a toilet, tub and vanity but very large. There is a view of downtown and the Strip.
I took a break up in the room and fell asleep for a while. I felt good when I got up.
For dinner I made a reservation for 6pm at Andiamo. I decided to go a little lighter than I normally do here and just order the 8oz filet for dinner. You just can't go wrong with the steaks here and the Peach Carpaccio and Kale Salad. For dessert I got a cannoli. Everything was very good. I used my food credit to cover the $80 tab.
Back to the Golden Nugget I decided to do my play I planned for tomorrow, tonight. I played a 100 play game and did 4k in action with about a $100 loss.
My final play of the night was running my $50 free play through for nickels on an awful pay table of Triple Wheel Poker. I turned the $50 into $80 cash thanks for getting dealt a flush and hitting 750 coins on the wheel. My play at the Golden Nugget was done for the day.
I left the Golden Nugget and came back here to Paris. I grabbed a snack at the gift shop and it was a total rip costing over $8 for a snack cake and a bag of chips. Normally I would skip this but I used points to pay.
