Day 13

I got up and took my time getting motivated this morning. Grabbed my stuff and headed out.
The move today is to Laughlin. I stopped at Jack in the Box for a quick lunch for the ride. Go a couple of tacos and some chicken nuggets. I used the last 13¢ of the gift card from Yahtzee Mike so thanks for the 1 bite of a nugget today Mike!
When I got to town, as odd as it seems I actually drove right past the Aquarius all of the way to the Golden Nugget. Never fear, I have a reservation at the Aquarius starting tomorrow. I booked this reservation using a mailed offer for 3 nights. I also have $50 in free play on Thursday & Friday. I only needed 2 nights. When I called the phone agent said I also had an offer for Summer Cleaning Gift Weekend so she booked me in on that. A few days later the mailer arrived. It guarantees me a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Cordless Pet Vacuum. There is also the change to play up to upgrade. For 2000 points I can get a Dirt Devil Reach Max Plus 3 in 1 Cordless Stick Vacuum or for 3800 points a Shark iON Robot Vacuum 76 with WiFi. I'll most likely play for the 2000 gift at most.
When I arrived I was able to check in. I was assigned room 202. This room has 2 queen beds with a nightstand in the middle, a workdesk and chair, dresser and TV. The bathroom is standard issue with a shower/tub, toilet and sink. It has a view of the courtyard.
I got my things to the room and I'm undecided if I'm only staying here 1 night or 2. Regardless I would still be checking in at Aquarius tomorrow.
I ran over to Arizona to get some supplies for the next 6 nights. I stopped at Safeway grocery store on my way to 99¢ Only. So I'm in the parking lot leaned into the back seat putting my stuff on the floor and I hear some guy say sir. I come out of the car and there's this Mexican guy and he says to me, "Tamales?" and holds up 2 baggies of Tamales to me. What the fuck? Who the fuck is going to buy tamales from some Mexican in the parking lot of the grocery store?? During COVID-19 of all times.
I get it, he's trying to make a few bucks but, seriously? Food? In baggies? In 117 degree heat? In a parking lot?
I got back to the Golden Nugget and had a sandwich in the room I bought and then I hit the machines and decided on some Spin Poker for dimes. Good session, a little streaky. I started getting lots of dealt winners. I was ahead a few hundred. Those dried up and and so did the profits. Then I hit a hand with 2 royals for an $800 boost. I was close to having my play in for the day and got out with a $500 profit.
I finished up the session running my $50 free play through for pennies turning the free play into $35 cash.
I took a walk after this playing some penny games at various casinos. Not a good night but still had fun.
For a late meal I went to Carnegie's over at the Tropicana. I had the fried chicken breasts. They were really good and came with mashed potatoes, country gravy and vegetables. I'd definitely get this again. I also got a slice of cheesecake to go. I used a $20 comp I had gotten with a mailer.
I came back to Golden Nugget and wrapped up the night with some TV.
