Day 14
Friday August 28, 2020
I slept in today and took my time getting motivated. I had breakfast in the room and then got started.

I walked over to the Aquarius stopping at each casino along the river walk playing some penny games. Got my ass kicked on everything I played.

When I got to the Aquarius I went over to VIP to check in. I booked this through my host using a mail offer for 3 nights and $440 in free play. I'm also booked on the August Appreciation offer. It's some promo with a kiosk game where you can win free play, food or points. Everything was ready and I was given room 18071. This is the same room I had back in July. It has has a king bed, nightstands, table and chairs, dresser and TV and arm chair. It has a great view of the river and pool area.

I checked the room to make sure everything was in order and then hit the Cafe for lunch. I went with my new favorite here, the pot roast. It's been hit or miss with some inconsistencies the last few times I had it. I'm happy to say, it was good.

Next up was time for video poker. The geniuses at Golden Entertainment decided to eliminate the daily mystery multiplier benefit. Instead they added multiple point days but I'm not here for any of those so I get stuck for 1x points this trip. Or so I thought. Since I booked this trip they added 10x slots and 5x VP for Friday & Saturday. I also swiped to get my 7500 points ($15 free play or $25 comps) that replaced the Cove/Duet vouchers. I also had a dividend for August – December that was 69000 points. This is the final dividend they are offering because they eliminated that benefit too. Finally I got to play the August appreciation kiosk game. I got to pick one of 5 beach balls. I won 8000 points ($16 free play or $26.66 comps)

I decided on some 10 play action. Thing were good here. No major hits but enough “stuff” as Dee used to call it to keep alive. Dealt straights, flushes, full houses were coming from time to time. I also hit a couple of straight flushes and 1 set of aces. Quads were weak though and I didn't hit that many of them. For quite a while I was never +/- more than $100. Then the bleed started. Lightning fast I went from being up around $100 to being down 5 bills. I was like, WTF?

I took a walk back to the Golden Nugget and on the way stopped and played more penny games along the way. I had to be back to the Golden Nugget between 4-6pm to register for my Shopping time on Sunday. They are also doing some drawings for free play.

I decided that instead of packing up and moving everything to the Aquarius tonight that I'd just park it here for the evening.

I got my play in for the night here at Golden Nugget on Spin Poker. Smooth session for the most part with a few swings. I was down to my last bet a few times but would hit some quads to get back into it. I finished the session down just $65.

I switched to pennies and ran my $50 free play through. Not too bad and $40 cash out of it.

For dinner I decided to eat over at the Tropicana. I went to Carnegie's again. I used a $20 comp the I think I get daily for being a black card holder (matched to my 7* card when the merger happened a few weeks ago). I'm still trying to figure out the old Eldorado clubs. Of course once I do they'll convert to Caesars Rewards. I had the meatloaf dinner and the ice cream parfait. The meatloaf was pretty good although a bit bland. The ice cream was hardly a parfait. It was 2 scoops of vanilla with whipped cream and some chocolate sauce drizzled on. It worked!

To wrap up the evening I just took it easy in the room and got caught up on some e-mails and watched TV.

Total coin in for the day $17,960
Total win/loss for the day - $321
Total Comps for the day $774
