Day 16

I got up and started off the day with some in room breakfast.

Next I had to go to the Golden Nugget to choose my gift. I stopped at each casino along the way and like I usually do played some penny games along the way.

At the Golden Nugget I hadn't earned enough points to get more than the base gift, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Cordless Pet Vacuum. I get to the room where they are doing this and not one but TWO employees are wearing their masks like chin guards. Seriously? Are you fuckin' kidding me. Four people working this room and half of them aren't wearing their masks until I approach them. I only stayed there long enough to register for my gift and headed out. As soon as I left down came their masks again. Fuck you, assholes.

I stopped by the Tropicana to use a $10 comp I had for lunch. I went to Carnegie's and got chicken fingers. They were fine but you only get 4 and they are right out of a bag. They did the trick to hold me over until dinner later tonight. I also played some penny games while I was here and actually hit a progressive for over $250!

I came back to the Aquarius and it was time for some video poker action and some more 10 play. Pretty good session hitting aces a couple of times. One hand of note was holding trip fives and landing the quad on 4 lines. I continued to pound way and hit my first royal at the Aquarius this year. I played a bit longer and cashed out with a $900 win.

I swiped at the Kiosk today to play my final Beach Ball game. I won an $80 food comp. Really? My food already gets picked up here and now I 1 time use comp for $80? I would have rather had the 8000 points.

I took a short break and then got ready to go to dinner. For dinner I went over to the Edgewater. My host arranged for a comp over at their Hickory Pit Restaurant. I've never been there before so I was looking forward to it. I decided on the prime rib and a side of creamed corn. There was no reason for the corn, this meal includes a soup or salad, potato and vegetables. The prime rib was very tender and cooked perfectly. I only wish they knew how to season it. It was probably the blandest prime rib I've ever had. Quite disappointing. I finished off with chocolate cake. It was very rich and really good.

After dinner took a walk hitting some more penny games along the way. It was a decent walk with another few bucks in winnings. While I was at the Tropicana I caught the first period of the Vegas Golden Knights and Canucks game.

I came back to the Aquarius and caught the rest of the game with a little play during intermissions. The Knights pulled it out and go up 3-1 in the series.

Now it was time for some more video poker action. I tried 10 play again. Pretty smooth session with 4 sets of aces and a straight flush. Dealt winners and other quads were weak. Similar to other sessions this week it was smooth the whole time and then dropped like a rock. I finished down close to $400 and gave up in order to keep some of the royal winnings from earlier.

I came to the room to finish the evening with some TV and then sleep.
