Day 2
Sunday December 13, 2020
I slept in today and got a late start. I headed out to do the rental car swap. I had to put a few bucks of gas in the car so I wouldn't get charged $15 for going less than 75 miles. Returning the first car went well and I walked over to the booth to see where my new car was at. Of course it wasn't listed on the board. A stop at the booth got it set and I'm in spot F09.

I booked this rental rental back in October. Initially rates were sky high but I check every day. With Budget I managed to get a base rate of $262 and all in for $460 with a discount code and a $25 off coupon for a full sized. It works out to about $107/week base rate. About 2 weeks later the rate dropped a bit down to $248 base and $443 all in for a premium. So a lower price and a better car. Two days later it dropped again to $231 base and $421 all in. In a rare situation it dropped again later that day to $223 base and $410 all in. Two days after that it dropped one more time to $216 base and $401 all in. At this price it works out to a base rate of about $89. After rebooking for this 4th time I figured that would be it because the rates spiked back up after this. However I continue to check rates every day and on December 1 there was another price drop taking my base rate down to $203 and $384 all in. This took the base rate down to under $84/week. This is where it stayed until a few days ago before everything spiked again.

They assigned me a Toyota Avalon with 14,000 miles on it. It was in great condition. I gave the car a quick look over and I was on my way.

I made a quick stop at 99˘ Only to grab a few items to get through the next few days.

I swung back through Tuscany because it was time to get some play in. Today they are running a promo offering additional free play based on the number of points you earn up to $125. Their video poker here isn't very good. I opted for airport deuces. It started out well and I hit four deuces early on. That would be it though and the bleed started after that. I went from being up $230 to down $300 in short order. I like deuces but just don't like the swings. Lack of dealt winners was a real killer. The real killer was holding 3 to a royal and filling a natural king high straight flush. Whoo fucking hoo, 45 coins.

I switched to 7/5 bonus and had a better run. No major hands just enough “stuff” as Dee used to call it. Got the balance of my play in there and cashed out up $100.

After I had my play in I hit the players club to have the $100 free play from my mailer added to my account. I swiped at the kiosk to get the additional free play added and also played the kiosk game that was part of my offer. I won 2500 on that which is a whopping $2.50 free play. So generous of them.

I ran the $200 free play through 7/5 bonus triple play and turned it into $216 cash.

With my play done here at Tuscany it was time to grab my stuff and head out.

The next stop was to Caesars Palace. I'll be staying here for the next four nights. This was booked through my host and is my annual Seven Stars trip. She booked me into a Palace Tower Premium Room. I also get a $500 folio credit and I still have three of my $100 celebration dinners available. I'm also booked on the Great Gift Wrap Up promo so I can redeem my points for gifts. I don't normally get many points for this even and I'm not usually in town for it but this year it lined up.

I checked in at the diamond/7* area. There was no wait time thanks to my 7* card jumping me past 2 other people and I was at the counter right away. I actually did end up with the room that was booked. This is room 1521 in the Palace Tower. It has a king bed, nightstands, a sitting area with a couch, desk, and a flat screen TV. It has a view of the pools and Augustus and Octavious. Towers.

The bathroom is large with a shower, whirlpool tub, vanity and toilet room.

I had dinner plans with Anne, Jason and Stacy over at the Linq.

I met up with everyone at the Linq and we went to Guy Fieri's Vegas. I went with my usual Motley Que, pulled pork sandwich with fries.

I used one of my celebration dinners to cover the bill and charged the balance to my room back at Caesars Palace.

After dinner I headed back over to Caesars Palace stopping at each casino playing some penny slots. Won a little and lost a little everywhere except for one bonus that gave me a $150 win to offset all of the smaller losses.

It was still fairly early but it had been a long day so I decided to just come up to the room and wrap up the day.

Total Coin In For The Day = $10,215
Total Win/Loss For The Day = $135
Total Comps For The Day = $469
