Day 3
Monday December 14, 2020
I was up earlier today and after some in room breakfast I got ready and headed over to Tuscany to check out. Normally I don't worry about checking out but the food credit with the room has to be manually credited to the room charges so I wanted to swing by and make sure everything was correct.

The first thing I did was hit Marilyn's Cafe and got a grilled chicken sandwich with chips to go. I was going to eat that in the room but it was already after check out time which is 11am here. Instead I ate out in the car and cranked some tunes on the radio.

I left Tuscany and headed downtown. I have a few things I'm going to do down here today. I have a reservation at Golden Nugget on an offer for a free set of headphones. I don't really need them or the room but I'm planning on playing downtown the next two days and like to have a place to take breaks between playing. I also have $50 in free play available.

I was able to check in right away. There was no line and I was able to get checked in pretty early considering it wasn't even noon. I booked and received a Rush Tower King room. They gave me room 6220. This room has a king bed with nightstands on both sides. There is also a work desk, dresser, couch and TV. The bathroom is standard with a toilet, tub and large vanity. There is a view of the parking garage.

I decided the first thing I'd do is take a walk through Fremont Street and check out the all new Circa. Along the way I stopped at each casino and played a few penny games. A few small wins and a few small losses.

Circa is really nice. The sportsbook is giant as is the Mega Bar. It was nice to be downtown in a new, modern and clean property.

I came back to get my play in here at the Golden Nugget. The video poker here sucks so I played a short pay 50 play machine. My goal here is to do 4-5k in action to keep the basic offers coming. I only play 12 hands.

The session was quite good with a good amount of dealt winners. This included 5 dealt full houses at over a hundred bucks a pop. I ended with a win of $425. It was quite a smooth session and I wish they were all this way!

I hit the players club to collect my head phones which went well. They gave me the choice of the head phones, a hat or the as seen on TV Bacon Master. I took the Bacon Master to try it out. It gets pretty shitty reviews on Amazon and sells for $40-$50 at most online retailers. I'm sure it will be in the trash by the end of January.

The casino is currently torn up as they are replacing the carpet (not sure why they didn't do this while they were closed for 2 ½ months). The whole area with video poker was closed so I opted to run my free play through a bar top with 6/5 bonus. I turned the $50 free play into $40 cash. The pay table wasn't a factor.

I took one more stroll up and down Fremont Street playing some penny games along the way. Nothing major to report.

I left downtown and headed back to Caesars Palace. I decided to take a walk over to Bally's and Paris to see if Ned the Dealer was working. While I walked through Bally's I played some penny games. It was definitely my day when I hit a bonus round and a progressive jackpot.

I got over to Paris and Ned was working but his table was maxed out with 3 people so I yelled hello to him from 10 feet away and went on my way. Some penny games over here netted a few more bucks in wins.

For a quick dinner I went over to the Flamingo and got a burger and fries at Johnny Rockets to go. A double cheese burger and fries for the bargain price of $17 and change. Welcome to the Strip people!

I came back to Caesars to eat and wrapped up the night getting caught up on e-mails and and watching TV.

Total Coin In For The Day = $6,050
