Day 5

I was up a little earlier today and once I got motivated it was time to start the day.
The first thing I did was hit the players club to get my airfare reimbursed with free play. Today my plan is to get some play in at the Caesars properties. I need one more day of 2500 points to reach Seven Stars for next year. They don't have any decent video poker at any of these properties so I decided on 10 play quarters at Bally's. This is also crap but slightly better than anything at Caesars. I got through 10k in action and was down $500. I switched to dollar triple play 9/5 jacks. Roller coaster ride ranging from being up $500 to down $500 which is where things ended. Not a good day on the machines.
I now had my play in so came over to Caesars for the Great Gift Wrap Up. I went to the ballroom to collect my gift which I took in the form of free play. I had enough points to get $350 worth.
I took a short break in the room and got ready to go to dinner.
For dinner I went to Old Homestead with Anne and Steve. The plan is to go all out and burn up a good chunk of the $500 folio credit that came with the room. The prices here are just absurd. Personally if I were paying cash I'd never come here. I had a rib cap, baked potato, the bacon appetizer and a ½ wedge salad. All of the food was excellent but just way overpriced. The total bill was $306 when it was all done.
I still had some room credits left so hit the gift shop to get a few things I don't really need.
Next I hit the casino to run through my free play. First I ran through the airfare reimbursement. I turned the $765 into $665 on short pay video poker. The pay table wasn't an issue because I didn't hit any full houses. That means my I paid $100 to fly out here first class. That works.
Next up I ran the free play from the great gift wrap up through the same machine. I turned that $350 into $300 cash.
I wrapped up the night packing up and getting ready for tomorrow's move and watching TV.
