Day 7
Friday December 18, 2020
It was two years ago today we lost Dee. I had some breakfast in the room to start the day. It took me a while to get motivated and the plan for today was to keep as busy as possible. I left the room around noon in search of food.

For lunch I went to Duet and got a turkey and Swiss wrap to go. A quick stop into VIP to get some waters and cookies and I went out to the car to eat. I spent the whole morning in the room and just needed somewhere else to go. Duet is currently only doing take out and all tables have been removed.

After lunch it was time to play. I hit the 10 plays at the back video poker bar overlooking the river. Just an awful session dropping 5 bills on only 3k in action. That was after hitting aces twice.

I came up to the room for a short break and then returned to the casino. On my way back to the machines I made a reservation at River Rock, formerly The Vineyard. I think the foods on the menu are still the same as the Vineyard offered but dumbed down a bit. It's a glorified pizzeria now instead of an upscale place. Not sure why they made that decision. Now there is no high end dining here at all.

Back to the machines and this time around things were much better. A good amount of dealt winners and quads kept me going. I ranged from being up $200 to down $200 but was right around even most of the session. When it was time for dinner I was down just $100 on 10k in action.

For dinner I went over to River Rock. I tried the chicken parm. I'd rate it as average. I've had better, I've had worse. It came with a huge side of pasta.

After dinner I took another walk up and down the river walk hitting some penny games at each casino along the way. Won a few, lost a few but squeaked out some profits.

When I got back to Aquarius I played some more penny games and pretty much got my ass kicked. No big hits, no bonus rounds.

Next up was more video poker. Up and down on the roller coaster this time around. Just enough dealt winners and quads to not bust out. I hovered for a while but then got sucked dry in short order down another $400.

I decided to take one more shot with a $300 loss limit on halves. I was hoping for some play time more than anything but a big hand or two as well. That's when I got dealt quad jacks for the $625 hit. I played a few more hands and cashed out. I was still in the hole but much more reasonable than it looked like it was going to be.

I finished the night up here in the room with some TV and getting caught up on e-mails.
