Day 8

I slept in again this morning. I just can't get adjusted to be getting up early. I started off with breakfast in the room again and then headed down to the casino.

I hit the 10 play machines like I usually do and bought in for $500. A very up and down session. I instantly dropped $200 and then things smoothed out a bit. Two sets of aces got me close to even. Slow bleed from there and eventually was down to my last bet. Not just my last bet but I had to switch to 5 play to do it. I got a quad and then a dealt straight back to back and switched back to 10 play. From there I hit aces 6 times in about 15 minutes and was actually back to even. Play continued and quads were hitting but I just couldn't seem to get dealt any bigger winners. The whole time I played I only got dealt 3 straights and 1 flush. After 11k in action I quit down just $200.

I took a break from the gaming and ran across the street to Family Dollar for some survival items. I came back and took a short break up in the room.

For a very late lunch/early dinner I went to Cafe Aquarius. Tonight I went with the turkey dinner. Really good but heavy on the starch with bread, stuffing and mashed potatoes.

After dinner I took my usual walk up and down the river walk playing some penny games and got whacked.

When I got back to the Aquarius it was time for more video poker. Another round of 10 play was in order. This time around it was awful. I'm not sure how I lasted as long as I did. Few dealt winners, few quads and no aces. I dropped close to 8 bills during this session and got less than 10k in action.

I decided to play one more round and switch it up a bit to deuces wild. It was fairly smooth and I managed to hit 1 set of deuces on a single deuce hold. Finished up $100 on 5k.

At the end of the night I came up to the room and watched some TV before going to sleep.
