Day 10

I got up and had something to eat here in the room. Even though today is a moving day I have the room all day. I got ready for the day and headed out.
I took a walk up the river walk stopping in each casino playing some penny games like I normally do. Had a few nice hits and a few bonus rounds and took a fair profit with me.
When I got to the Golden Nugget I hit my regular video poker play. I have $50 in free play available today so settled in to do my normal 5k in action. Today I played Spin Poker Deluxe for dimes. It's a little volatile but sure is fun. After my 5k in action I was up $527. This was thanks to hitting a hand with 10 sets of aces.
I ran my free play through for pennies and turned it into $41 cash.
I walked back to the Aquarius hitting some more penny games along the way.
I had lunch at Edgewater at Wild Style. I just grabbed a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was too late for lunch and too early for dinner which is at 6pm later tonight. I used the whopping $5 food credit they gave me in my mailer.
With all of my play in town done for this trip I came up to the room, ate lunch, got my things and headed out. I always like my time down here but I'm ready to head back to Las Vegas.
The ride back to Las Vegas was the usual boring uneventful drive. Today the ride takes me to the Venetian of all places. Back in the summer when I was staying at Flamingo I took a walk on the strip hitting some penny games at each place. Out of the blue I started getting e-mails and snail mail offers for tournaments and other events. Today I'm checking in on a birthday offer for 3 nights and $150 in free play. I was pretty impressed with this considering I didn't play long when I was in there (maybe 30 minutes and that's probably too long). It was also the first time I had played here in about 20 years. I did come in with Dee one time and she signed up for a card and we played a bit about 8 or 9 years ago on her card.
Because I left Laughlin a little later than I had planned I drove right to the Flamingo for dinner. I had a reservation to Bugsy & Meyers at The Flamingo. I still have two $100 celebration dinners to burn and this will take care of one of them. I ordered filet mignon and gratin potatoes. The potatoes were good but not as good as they were last time I was here. Just weren't as creamy. The filet was perfect. For dessert I got the key lime pie. It had meringue on it which was not good. Too sweet, too heavy and had the consistency of marshmallow fluff. Meringue is supposed to be light and fluffy. The key lime portion of the dessert was pretty good but a bit sweet. For me to say something is sweet means it's sweet.
I left the Flamingo and went over to the Venetian. Of all of my years coming to Las Vegas I've never stayed here and I am looking forward to it. I've also never driven here before and had no idea where the eff I was going. I eventually figured it out. I also figured out where hotel check in was eventually too.
Checking in was quick and I was off to my suite #30315. This is a king suite and is split into 2 levels. The bedroom area has a king bed with nightstands on both sides, a dresser and a flat screen TV. The living room is down two small steps and has a couch, coffee table, chairs, desk and dining table. It has a view of Paradise Road and the Westgate.
The bathroom is large with a dual sink vanity, toilet room, tub and separate shower.
I got my things up to the room and hit the casino. Since I don't play much here I just wandered around and played some penny games. A few bonus rounds and a few decent hits and I took the money and ran. I also ran my free play through but didn't do well with that turning the $150 into just $86 cash. Oh well, it's still profit.
I was starting to get a little late so I cashed out and came up to the room.
