Day 11
Tuesday December 22, 2020
Got up and get ready for the day. When I was going through e-mails the room phone rang. I wasn't too happy about this figuring it was housekeeping asking if I wanted service because the do not disturb sign was on the door. It wasn't housekeeping, it was the floral department saying they had a runner outside my door. I was puzzled by this but sure enough there was a guy there with a bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday. I though that was pretty cool.

Once I was ready I headed downtown. The plan today was to play at Binion's. We both got offers for 3 nights, $75 in food and $400 in free play. Like the Four Queens they are also running a promo where you earn 100 points and get a $10 food comp and if you earn 300 points get $30 in free play.

I started off with 8/5 bonus for dollars. Things were good at the start. I hit two quads and a straight flush. The problem was I wasn't hitting anything else and it was all down hill from here. I did hit a few more quads through the session but they just weren't enough to keep alive. It was one of those sessions where I'd go 20+ hands without a winning hand, hit a pair of jacks and then lose 20 more. When I had my play in I was down $900 and not a happy camper.

I had my play in so hit the players club to get my $10 food voucher and $30 free play added to my card. I didn't realize it but I also had $500 worth of points built up. I don't usually let my points get that high here but it was a welcomed pile of cash that I withdrew.

I took the food voucher over to the cafe and got chicken strips. They were really good and there was enough chicken on the plate to feed 2 people. They also come with celery and carrots.

After lunch I was back at the machines again. This time around it was pure hell. I was down 5 bills at less than 2k in action. At 5k in action I was down over a grand. I finally hit my first quad after I passed the 8k mark but was down over $1200. Things smoothed out a bit from here and I started hitting more quads. I was down to the last 200 points or so that I needed which are usually tough for some reason. This time just the opposite. I hit a few bonus quads and a large number of full houses. I had enough play in and finished the session down “only” $700.

I ran my free play through for dollars and turned the $430 into $800 cash thanks to quad aces during the run through. I finished up running Dee's free play through dollars also and turned her $400 into $380 cash.

I left Fremont Street and headed back to the Venetian.

For dinner I went to Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris. I have my last $100 celebration dinner left and this will burn it. I got the Caesar salad that has a scotch egg on it, pork chop and side of macaroni and cheese. The flavors of the food were good but the pork chop was a bit dry. The mac and cheese was OK but it comes peas and ham. I felt they over powered the rest of the dish. It is available without the peas and ham. I finished off with the Caramel Apple Cheesecake and that was very good. The bill before tax was $98 and the celebration voucher covered it.

I walked back to Venetian stopping at each casino along the way to play some penny games. No major wins or losses but it was fun.

I came back to the Venetian and finished the night with some TV and then sleep.

Total Coin In For The Day = $24,830
Total Win/Loss For The Day = + $18
Total Comps For The Day = $1,632
