Merry Christmas to all & Happy Birthday to ME!
It's Christmas Day and my birthday. Today I'm fifty. Yup, the Big 5-0.

I got ready for the day and hit the casino. Video Poker was the game of choice as usual. I met up with Mike to see about some food. He and Camela ate already so I ran up to the deli and got grilled cheese. Pretty good and hard to screw up.

Now it was time to play. My first hand I hit aces. Lots of dealt winners and quads and I was up over $300 pretty quickly. Then it turned. All the profits were gone and I cashed out with a small $5 win and took a break.

We switched to a different bank of games. It was a little tough but one highlight was hitting my first quarter royal of the trip. The rest of the session was choppy and I got out with a $500 win.

Mike went to take a break so I hit some penny slots. Nothing good and I got crushed doing this. No bonus rounds or anything good at all.

Anne and Steve arrived. I played some single line for quarters with Anne and it was just bad. I hit 1 quad but not much of anything else. It reminded me of Binion's a few days ago.

We went to a different bank and I had similar results but this time no quad. Between the two single line games I was down $200 more. The royal money was pretty much gone at this point.

For dinner I had reservations at the Hawthorne Grill. Also joining me were Anne, Steve and Stacy. I got the rib eye. Really good meal and a great server. We all had a blast. The food here is a little pricey for an off strip location but the food is excellent.

After dinner I played craps with Mike. It started out great. I hit 3 points on my roll and Mike had a good roll where I had pressed my bets up. Things turned and it was point, out a number of times. Lost around $250 here.

Now it was time for more video poker action. Just a shitty session all together. Few dealt winners and few quads. I'm surprised I got as much play as I did but dropped 5 bills on 7k in action.

I played a few more penny games to end the night and made a few bucks back, in the area of $100 thanks to a $70 bonus.

One thing I hate is losing on a day I hit a royal but this was one of them.

I ended the night in the room after an up and down day of gambling and a great day with friends.
