Yes indeed! There will be a movie! It will be about the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone I can't wait to see it! But it doesn't come out until November 16, 2001 so I have some time to wait. Warner Bros. Pictures has enlisted Chris Columbus, director of some of most successful films including "Home Alone" and "Mrs. Doubtfire." "From the first time I read Harry Potter with my children I fell in love with these wonderful characters and this world," Columbus said. "I’m thrilled and honored to bring J.K. Rowling’s classic story to the screen."

They've finally selected who'll play the three best friends in the movie due out in 2001. Actor Daniel Radcliffe will play Harry in the movie, along with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson playing the roles of Ron and Hermione. Miss Rowling is very pleased with the chosen actors and actress. "Having seen Dan Radcliffe screen test, I don’t think Chris Columbus could have found a better Harry. I wish Dan, Emma and Rupert the very best of luck and hope that they have as much fun acting the first year at Hogwarts as I had writing it."
