Harry Potter was first conceived during a train
in 1990 when, "Harry Potter strolled into my head
fully formed." For the next five years she spent
some time in a local cafe scribbling notes on
napkins plotting Book One and the whole series.

Her full name is Joanne Kathleen Rowling, born
July 31st, (*ahem* The same as Harry Potter's

birthday) 1965. She was born in Chepstow, Gwent
and is now believed to be living in Ediburgh Scotland
with her daughter Jessica.
