This is my journey

I was raised in a from a pup in a small pack consisting of my parents and siblings and one other female. Most of the time food was sparse wich required everyone to contribute however they could. We lived hard but played hard at the same time, where I developed my mischievious streak. Being the eldest sibling I developed a strong sense of independance that was almost required with four other siblings. I inherited my fathers self control and my mothers intelegence and looks. As I grew older my independance grew with me as I ranged farther from home. As my travels took me further away it was not uncommon to spend weeks away from my pack. Foraging for myself and wadering further south, One evening I heard a distant howl. Just audible to my wolf ears I knew there was another pack some distance away.

I turned my paws in that direction and was compelled to investigate this pack that I had heard. A week later I came upon a small stream where a quenched my thirst, all week I had not seen or heard the mystery pack at all. As I drank I heard movement upstream from me. gaining my wits I sensed the wind was in my favor and slowly and quietly made my way toward the sounds. I came upon a small gap in the tree's were I saw three wolves feeding on a small deer that they had brought down. KNowing that I was in a very dangerous spot I withdrew to a safe distance and watched as they fed. Soon they covered up the carcass and made there way upstream, at wich poiint I followed at a distance, keeping the wind in my face.

In following the strange wolves they finally led me to there pack clearing. from a long distance I watched as they fed the pups. and nuzzled the other pack members in the clearing. Knowing if I came near the clearing now would risk my own life and well being I did notr wan't to chance giving away my presence at the moment. So I stayed hiden eating rats and other rodents and occasional rabbits I rested and waited fro the right time. two days later I awoke from a nap and I scaned the clearing belowe me and I noticed that the pack was laying around the clearing, grooming each other and seemingly content. I realized this was my moment of opertunity. So I made my way down into the clearing a mile away and slowly moved into a clearing just above and a short distance above the pack clearing making sure that the wind would carry my scent to there noses. One by one they stood and scaned around and it seemed as one they all locked there eye's on me. I could feel the tention rise in the clearing as they carefully worked out my scent.

Finally after what seemed an eternity one wolf who I knew to be the Alpha of the pack slowly made her way toward me, making sure she displayed her rank in her every step. I could see her confidence and aura of supreme ability to do what it took for her pack. As she aproached I crouched down and lowered my tail and head in deference to her obvious rank. Slowly she circled me sniffing me as I held absolutly still, knowing with a wrong move she would surely end me right then and there. As the paded up even with my head she gently enclosed my muzzle with her teeth, letting me know under no uncertain terms of my status. As she continued to clamp my muzzle I glanced up adn cuaght the slightest look at her eye's wich glowed a bright amber. These eye's help a warmth that I had never encountered before, even though her body told me that I was on perilous ground, I knew that if I mined my wolf manners I would not encounter harm. As she let me go I lifted up and licked her muzzle and nuzzled her neck he calmly led me back into the pack clearing.

As I entered the clearing I crouched down and allowed the other members to get a good look and smell of me. they all were wary but did not harm me except a couple of friendly nips from wolves my own age. they welcomed me with caution. As I scanned my new suroundings a female paded out of a den, The sight of her made me stop breathing for time and I knew at that instant This was were I belonged. Somehow in some way the great spirit had led me here to this pack to catch this sight I was seeing at that moment. I knew then that I was going to be her mate.

For the next five months I grew to be accepted into the pack as I had carefully minded my wolf manners. I was even accepted as an assessee. After a month had passed I regretfully had to take a leave of absence from the pack. Just under a year later I came back and founf that the pack had disapeared. Not knowing what had happened I searched for any sign of there passing in all of the four directions. After a month with a very heavy heart I gave up my search and started to travel again. having the tast for pack life I began to search for another pack in ernest.

In my journey for another home I came across packs that were either not well organized or so secretive as to be very dangerous to life and limb to enter. So after coming across a pack I had never seen before I noticed how calm and serene they seemed to be, this interested me enough to introduce myself to who I was later to find out was the Alpha female of the pack, Hunter^! So now we will see how my journey continue's from here!

Well here I am again, to continue my story. I'm very happy to say that I am now a member of the Sweet Mystics. I've met so many different wolves it's hard to keep them all straight. I have made many good friends and I have a brother now, Nightsaber is his name. The pack is now my home, were I will stay untill I'm called beyond. Curiously I've found that My loyalty, that in the past I haven't given out readily, is now writen in cold hard stone of the pack. The more I interact with my pack mates the more I come to love them all. As I lay in the clearing watching quietly, I notice how each wolf, being different in there own way, actually makes up a puzzle, an important piece of the whole. I continue to settle in and find my place within the pack, I grow within myself and find that I too am an important piece. I will continue with my story another time, right now I'm just happy !
