About Verbigerate...
Darryl Hall (verbigerate) received a Master of Arts degree in sociology with a specialization in gender studies at the University of Nevada, Reno; here he also taught many sociology courses, including Principles of Sociology and Race and Ethnic Groups.
Darryl has recently moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to pursue a PhD in sociology at the University of Tennessee, where he continues to teach sociology. His scholarly interests include gender, deviance, environmental studies, and social psychology. When he is not preparing lectures, his favorite pastimes include playing the piano/keyboard, composing music and poetry, website design, and rollerskating.
Darryl has written a number of songs in a variety of styles. Using the handle "Dj Pineapple," he specializes in dance and happy hardcore music, including Mission of Love, Space Invader, and Bassline Basics. His music repertoire also includes softer ballads such as Meant to Be, Special Kind of Girl, and Waiting. Sound clips are available here.
Darryl is also an avid rollerskater who consistently wins trophies during various rexing (dancing on skates) competitions held around the country. Known as "Turbo" to many skaters, Darryl's unique style of skating involves many elements that he developed himself.
