Light

My Lord has let me walk in darkness so

that I might be brought to light.

My Lord let me write things from the heart

though my eyes and head were blinded to them.

My Lord allowed me to be of the world for a time

so that I might come to an understanding of the way of man.

My Lord retrieved me from my wanton path

making my own heart clear to me so that I might

stand firm in truth and light, praise be.

The Lord, praise be to him that is our savior,

gives all that is sought and makes it clear

beyond doubt.

Thank you dear Lord Jesus for the lessons you've taught,

for the purgeing of my soul,

the strengthening of my spirit,

the opening of my heart and mind so that I might know you.
