This spring promises to be busy for the
Brittany Club! We will hold a Hunt Test in conjunction with the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Reno May 18 & 19 at the Hungry Valley Field Trail Grounds North of Reno. We are also planning a Field Trial scheduled for April 13-19, which will be held at the Fernley Field Trial Grounds, south of Fernley.

Field Trial
This spring's trial will be held out at the Fernley Field Trial Grounds April 13-19. Spring weather in Nevada can be hot, cold, windy, rainy, SNOWY, etc. so be prepared, especially for chilly mornings! Last year we were lucky to have fairly nice weather, but you never know what Mother Nature is going to throw at us.
Lunches will be available on the grounds both days for a reasonable price. Please join us in the mornings for coffee, sweet rolls and fruit.
Camping will also be available on the grounds (but not really recommended for tents!) Please participate in keeping the grounds clean. Rooms may be available at the Best Western Inn, Fernley (775) 575-6776. Water will be available for dogs and horses, please bring your own drinking water, shade, and folding chairs.

All stakes are held on single course with or without a birdfield.
Chukar, Quail, Pheasant, and/or Pigeons released in all stakes except Open Puppy.
Field Trial open to Brittanys only EXCEPT for Amateur Gun Dog which is open
to all AKC registerable pointing breeds.
Bitches in season may not compete EXCEPT in the Chukar Classic/Championship!
Entries will close at 5:00 pm (PDT), Tuesday, April 9, 2001 with the Field Trial Secretary.
Drawing will take place at 7:00 pm (PDT), Tuesday, April 9, 2001 with the
Field Trial Secretary.
The Field Trial Committee reserves the right to make changes in the
running order of the stakes and/or judging assignments should conditions warrant.
The use of AKC approved Tracking Collars will be permitted at this trial in accordance
with AKC Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedures for Pointing Breeds.
All participants must wear an item of BLAZE ORANGE clothing in the field
for all Gun Dog Stakes.
All Gun Dog Stakes are retrieving.
Horseback handling will be permitted in all stakes.
A blank pistol will be fired in Puppy Stake.
Shotgun Blanks will NOT be permitted in any test.
The AKC does not allow the use of pistols capable of firing live ammunition.
Standard AKC rosettes to all dogs receiving a 1st through 4th placement.
Plaques awarded to dogs receiving First Place in each Stake.
