ROLE REVERSAL

Melody Thomas Scott is the first to admit that she and her longtime friend, Judy, are very much like Lucy and Ethel. But when it comes to headlining their act, the veteran actress is perfectly willing to share the spotlight. "Of course, I can play the monir part," laughs Melody. "It's not fair to always be top banana, so sometimes, Judy's Lucy." The foils met in the ninth grade, and now, when they're not clowning around their neighborhoods, they like to take their act on the road. No, you probably won't find them stomping grapes with their feet. But you may very well catch them hitting the boutiques in Palm Springs!
