*According to sports author and historian Dan Krieger: "The RHI did not play in 1998 and returned with eight teams in 1999. After the 1999 season, many of the teams disbanded and the RHI changed to being called Major League Hockey (MLH). No other word has been heard of MLH and the RHI/MLH web site is dead. This is not to be confused with the MLRH, which is now only operating its minor league MLRH-AAA."
However, Keith Pixton insists (via e-mail) that the RHI had merged with the MLRH, and that it was for only one year (1998).
