Possible Ceremony Locations

We have two possible ceremony locations. Originally we decided to get married in my parent’s back yard. Easy location that every body should be familiar with. It was also kind of unique because it’s my great grandmother who use to live here and it’s on my great grandmother’s birthday. That was an extra special touch. It is also where my dad grew up. Well now the Gazebo is now also an option. So I have listed here pictures of the gazebo - and below I have likes and dislikes about both locations. Pictures of my yard will be posted up shortly.

My parents back yard

What I do Like:

  • At the edge of the back yard Coe lake is the view. (Where we would stand to be married)

  • I want to be married in a place where I will visit often. But what if they sold the house?? It’s obviously very close to home. (It is home!)

  • If we use the back yard, we won’t have to worry about getting in and out by a deadline time.

  • There’s a lot of progress going on in the yard. The boys have built a beautiful patio that I would walk down as my aisle. And the front yard is in the process of being remolded. He built a small pound in front with a fountain pouring into the pound. New pathways and every thing.

    Dislike:

  • You can’t see the view of the lake unless you’re at that one spot where john, the pastor and I will be standing.

  • We want to hook up an organ, amps, guitars & microphones out there. Long extension cords will be tacky.

  • There’s a lot of pulling weeds, planting flowers and decorating that needs to happen in the back yard. I’m worried a lot of that won’t get done. Esp. with it being a wedding so early in spring.

    The Gazebo

    what we do like:

  • It’s a beautiful location already. No need to plant anything

  • Coe Lake is gorgeous and surrounds the gazebo.

  • There is a water fountain that is also an added beauty to the scenery.

  • In that gazebo is where we would put the musicians, there is electricity hook ups, so no hassle of long extension cords!

  • It’s very close to home, Only around the corner from where I live.

  • It’s a public place, we can visit any time in the future for memories, that’s to say if they don’t decide to tare it down!

  • It’s a beautiful location for wedding pictures.

  • Located behind the police station and library, plenty of parking!!

  • They city has concerts there during the summer, so there is plenty of space for as many guest as we can invite.

  • There is a pavilion next to the gazebo, plenty of picnic tables incase of a slight rain. Or even for our guest to stay if they choose to after the ceremony.

  • It has a beautiful lakeside walk & bridge that crosses over the lake. So guest will have plenty to see before or after the ceremony.

    Dislikes

  • The gazebo is rented out in 2-hour increments. Deadline to be out of there! But we may rent it out for 4 hours rather then 2.

  • Have to rent it out for the rehearsal
