Day 3
Thursday June 17, 2021
Got up today, got my things together and ready to head out because it's moving day.

I left Virgin and went back downtown. I hadn't planned on going here today but I forgot to cash a ticket yesterday and wanted to get my money for that. While I was down there I went to Four Queens. I had the same offer as Binion's but instead of the $75 for Whiskey Licker Up it's $150 for Hugo's Cellar. I wouldn't be using that though so didn't bother to collect it.

I played 9/6 jacks for dollars and couldn't believe how smooth the session was. Never up or down much at all. My kind of play.

Lunch was at Magnolia's and I got the usual Bowl of gumbo and an order of rye toast. Service was horrible in here. It took 15 minutes for the soup and toast to be brought out. Not sure what was up with that. I'm guessing he got side tracked and forgot to go get it because it's usually less than 5 minutes.

Back to the machines after lunch to run my free play. I ran it through halves and had a really good session with lots of full houses and flush 4 filling in. The most help came from hitting the ultra dreaded ace low straight flush on a 1 card draw. I ended up turning the free play into $625, one of my best run through plays ever.

I took a walk up Fremont playing some penny games. Won some lost some and dropped a few bucks doing so.

When I was done downtown I went out to Summerlin. First stop was 99¢ Only for some stuff. Then on to the hotel.

I'll be staying at the JW Marriott at Rampart for the next 3 nights. I have a mail offer for 3 nights, $20 food and $525 free play over 3 nights.

When I got there the room wasn't ready but the clerk found one that was.

I was given room 2114 in the Spa tower. This is 1 bedroom suite. Large foyer when you enter with a powder room to the right. Next is a large living room with a dining room area. They've done a mini renovation in this room and gotten ride of the giant cabinets that housed the TV. They also replaced the TV with a 72 inch flat screen. The bedroom is through double doors and has a king bed, nightstands, new chaise lounge and new dresser with another 72 inch TV.

The bathroom is huge with a shower stall, dual sink vanities, jetted tub and toilet room with bidet.

This room has a view of the valet area and parking lot.

I got my stuff to the room and was ready for action.

I hit the casino and started pounding away on the 10 play machines. Very tough session with few quads and dealt winners. I was in for 7 bills when I hit my first royal of the trip. Despite the royal I was only up $400 at this point. The bad session continued after that so I took a bit of a break and went to see my host for a few minutes.

Back to the machines and another tough session. Again with few quads and dealt winners. By the time I was done this time I was actually down $100 on the day at Rampart. This is really annoying to me when I've hit a royal and I'm down.

For dinner I went to Jade. I had an egg drop soup which seemed different from the last time I had it here. I also got an order of combo fried rice which has chicken, pork and shrimp in it. I got it without the shrimp. This was packed with onions. Not only onions, but they were huge and weren't cooked through. They were basically raw onions. I can deal with them if they are cooked but I just can't take raw one. So like a 3 year old I sat there and picked them out while I ate. This dish would have potential but other than the BBQ pork it had absolutely no taste at all. I don't mind bland food but this was so bland it tasted like water. Maybe that's why there was so much onion in it.

Back at the machines after dinner. Another tough session that was pretty identical the the previous two with few quads and few dealt winners. The best chunk of dealt winners was being down to my last $50 or so and getting dealt three full houses and a straight. Thing were so bad though that as soon as I'd hit one, it would be gone. I dropped about 5 more bills on this session and gave up.

I ran today's free play through for halves and turned the $175 into $175 cash thanks to quad kings. It was a good thing I hit those because I didn't hit much of anything else better than 2 pair.

I wrapped up the night up here in the room watching TV.

Total win/loss for the day + $145
Total Comps for the day $906
