Day 10
Thursday June 24, 2021
Got up, got motivated and then started the day. It was time to hit the casino. I started with swiping at the kiosk to get my multiplier and then hit the machines.

I played 10 play as usual. Streaky sat first but and was dropping credits quickly. Jimbo arrived and joined in the fun. A few minutes later I hit aces to keep the action going. Soon after that I was dealt four to a royal. After yesterday there was no way I was going to replicate that outcome. I held the cards and hit the deal button and to my surprise landed my 5th royal flush in 4 days. Katy soon joined the fun while we all plugged away.

We took a break for brunch at the cafe and I cashed out with most of the royal in tact. I had the griddle breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and corned beef hash. All was good.

After we ate I took a shot at Super Times pay. This turned out to be a total waste of time and money. I blew through almost 3 bills. The whole time all I got was 3 multipliers (3x, 2x, 3x) and whiffed on all 3 of them. It's bad enough not getting many multipliers but losing on all three really sucks.

I switched to regular 10 play and had what started out as a good session. Lots of quads and dealt winners but things turned. The once $300 profit from all of those hits was now 5 bucks so I cashed out for a break.

We all took a break and walked over to the Outlet Mall across the street and Family Dollar. I grabbed a few things at Family Dollar and we came back to the Aquarius.

One more session of video poker found me getting my ass kicked. Not much of anything was hitting this time around and close to 5 bills flew out the window.

For dinner I had reservations for the three of us to go to Stockman's Steakhouse (formerly the Hickory Pit). My host made the reservation and put a $100 comp onto my card. She also gave Jimbo and Katy $75 each. The prices here are pretty reasonable For something a little different I ordered the 8oz skirt steak. One thing I like about this place is it's not a la carte, you get a dinner salad and twice baked potato with your entree. That also helps keep the price down. My steak was really good and I would definitely order it again. For dessert I had some chocolate cake. Good, but nothing great especially for $10.

When the bill came it was $160 and the comps from our host covered it all.

After dinner I went to the Sports Book at Edgewater to watch the second period of the Golden Knights-Canadians game. At intermission it was 2-1 Montreal. Not good.

During intermission I had $15 free play so ran that through some penny games and made twenty bucks no thanks to a bonus round that paid me 5 cents. Seriously, a nickel. WTF?

I came back to the Aquarius to watch the 3rd period of the game. Vegas tied it up. No more scoring and the game went into overtime. The Golden Knights choked a few minutes in and have been eliminated. I will now be a fan of whoever meets Montreal for the Stanley Cup. Preferably the NY Islanders but Tampa Bay if needed. They play game 7 tomorrow night with the winner going to the Stanley Cup finals.

After the game I played some penny games and hit a few decent spins for a little profit. Next I played some craps. I don't play many table games down here but it seemed like a good way to kill some time. It was just a $5 game so I was able to control myself and slow play. Choppy table and I had one of two good rolls. I played for about two hours and lost $105. It would have been less but as I was about to color up it was my turn to shoot. I shot myself in the foot. Not a bad session though.

The final move of the night was cashing in my points for free play. I took $500 worth of points and ran them through quarter triple play. I opted for this to lower the volatility. The joke was on me. I turned the $500 free play into just $375 cash. Just too many hands of nothing.

I wrapped up the night up here in the room with some TV and getting packed up before I went to sleep.

Total win/loss for the day + $496
Total Comps for the day $710
