Day 11

Finished packing up and got ready to head out. My time in Laughlin always seems to fly by. It seems like yesterday that I just got here.

I left the Aquarius and went into Bullhead City. First stop was jack in the Box. Hard to believe this is day 11 and it's my first time here. Got a couple of tacos and a junior bacon cheeseburger and paid using a gift card Yahtzee Mike gave me for Christmas. Thanks for lunch Mike.

Next up was gassing up the car and then it was time to hit the road.

The drive was uneventful and I arrived in Henderson at around 2pm and pulled into Sunset Station where I'd be staying for the next 2 nights. I booked this on a mail offer of 3 nights. I did book all 3 nights even though I'll only be staying for 2. Checking in was a breeze. I was given room 307. This is a king room with nightstands, a dresser, flat screen TV and small dining table. The bathroom is standard with a vanity on the outside, toilet and tub in a separate room. It has a view of the pool if you turn just right and a loading dock. There was a time when a view like this would have totally pissed me off. Now a days, not so much especially considering it's a short stay.

I met up with Jimbo & Katy and then wandered around plying some penny games. Had a nice bonus for some profits.

For dinner I had reservations at Pasta Cucina with Jimbo, Katy and my aunt and uncle who live in Henderson. I got chicken Marsala with angel hair pasta and pistachio gelato for dessert. We all had a good time and had some good food. I used points to cover the tab.

After dinner we all split up and played. I tried Spin Poker Deluxe for dimes. Really smooth session and slowly grew the meter. The key hand here was getting dealt trip aces and hitting 5 sets. There were a couple of other dealt trips that converted as well plus, some dealt straights, flushes and full houses. At my high point I had more than doubled up. Things turned so I got out while I could with a win just over $300.

At the end of the night I came up to the room to wind down with some TV and sleep.
