Day 14
Monday June 28, 2021
When I got up this morning I headed out and took the drive to Lake Tahoe. I have a few offers available up there and today is the best day to take advantage of them. The first offer is their Peak Bonus Offer good for the whole second quarter. It's $125 free play up front and another $100 free play for earning 2500 tier points. The other offer is part of my June mailer for $80 in free play with a 1 in 5 chance for it to be doubled. Mine did not get doubled. I also have $50 food on my mailer and the Laurel Lounge replacement vouchers.

I arrived at Harrah's and went right to the 50 plays and set them for 38 hands. My plan was to bang out the 2500 points, collect my free play, eat and head back to Reno. The session was crap. Few dealt winners. In fact, only one straight and one flush the whole time but lots of trips. Pretty dull session and without the dealt winners didn't stand much of a chance. Dropped close to 8 bills on the play and considered myself lucky it wasn't worse.

When I was done playing I went to the cafe only to see it was closed from 2-4pm. Seriously?

Based on that I decided to walk to each casino and play some penny games along the way. Nothing big hit but I did squeak out a small profit long the way. Not enough to offset the VP losses.

I got back to Harrah's and it was now after 4pm. I decided that since I had the $50 food comp I'd have dinner. I went with their Steak and Shrimp special. It's an 8 ounce rib eye, fried shrimp, veggies and a baked potato for $29.95. The waiter said it's a lot of food. When it came out he wasn't kidding. The potato was huge, the steak was the expected size but there were 15 pretty large deep fried shrimp. I'm not a big shrimp fan as it is unless they are deep fried but there was no way I was going to be able to eat all of these. I ended up doing 10, the whole steak, all the veggies and most of the potato. The waiter was impressed.

After dinner I ran my free play through single line video poker. Very tough run through turning the $305 into just $225 cash.

On the way out I hit Starbucks to use my Free Starbucks Drink vouchers from the kiosk and the $10 food voucher. I got a giant starfruit lemonade and some Kind bars and hit the road.

I got back to the Silver Legacy and hit the casino. I tried the 50 plays again and had a similar repeat to last night. No dealt winners and things just weren't hitting. I did hit one royal on a 2 card hold but it wasn't enough. Dropped over 9 bills here before tapping out.

I ran my $90 free play through triple play quarters. Probably the worst run through ever. I didn't get one dealt winner. Not even a pair of jacks. This hurt and turned the $90 free play into $52.

I came back up to the room after this and just went to bed after a long day.

Total win/loss for the day - $1416
Total Comps for the day $609
