Day 22

At 8am I met up with Jimbo and Norm at the cafe for breakfast. I had an omelet with sausage and cheese. We all had a good visit and the food was good but the service wasn't that great.

After breakfast it was back to the machines again. Had a pretty good run with lots of dealt winners and quads but there were pockets of lots of nothing. I got over 8k run through before I busted out of almost 5 bills.

I took a short break and reloaded. This was a good session very similar to the first one. I got dealt lots of full houses and hit aces 5 or 6 times. At one point I got dealt 4 to a royal and failed to connect. Minutes later I was dealt a flush with 4 to a royal and failed on this one too.

While I was playing Jimbo and Katy had some friends arrive and we were all introduced and went about our business.

I continued to pound away and popped a royal on a 3 card hold. Go figure. I played a bit longer and cashed out with an $1100 win for the session.

Around 3:00 I left Rampart and drove down to the Strip. I have a reservation at The Cromwell for the next 3 nights. I won't be staying here tonight but when I leave Rampart tomorrow I know I won't have to wait for a room.

Checking in here is always quick and easy. I was assigned room 351. The rooms here are all the same other than one bed or 2 and they are all dark. This is a king room with nightstands, dresser, flat screen TV, couch, coffee table, arm chair, make up area and closet. The bathroom has a walk in shower toilet and vanity. There is a view of an alley.

I threw a few of my things into the room and headed out. I came back to the Cromwell and headed back up to Rampart. Jimbo made reservations for the Hawthorne Grill. I had a few minutes so played some penny games to pass the time. I hit a few bonuses but didn't make much of a profit.

Dinner was the five of us. I opted to skip the beef tonight after last night's huge rib eye and opted for Chicken Piccata. Really good but I would have liked a bit more chicken in the dish.

After dinner it was back at the machines again. Two short sessions dropping $100 on $1800 in action and another $300 on $1500 in action. Ouch. At this point most of the royal flush is gone.

I decided on one more session and chose Spin Poker. Got some play out of it and after being down $300 had a few dealt winners and cashed out with a $20 win.

With my play wrapped up here for the trip I went to the players club to cash out my points. I had some points from a previous trip as well as the June visit that were worth $750 so cashed them all out.

I came up to the room to start getting ready for the move tomorrow.
