Day 4

I was up way too early this morning but got up and started the day. I definitely see a nap in my future.

The first thing I did was get in my little bit of play here at Golden Nugget. I played the usual short pay crap and got in my play with a win of $125.

Next I ran my $45 free play through more short pay crap and turned it into $60.

I didn't have any other plays planned for today so I decided to go over to the Golden Gate to try to generate some mail offers. I've been trying to get some time to play here for quite a while now and it's finally happening.

The first order of business was turning in a coupon from the Las Vegas Advisor for $5 free play for every 50 points up to $100. My plan was to max out this coupon by doing 10k on video poker.

I started off with the quarter progressives. Really bad with just one quad and dropped $200 on 2k in action.

I took a break for lunch and went over to the Four Queens to use the $10 comp I got yesterday. I got my usual bowl of gumbo. Really spicy today. Someone went little nuts in the kitchen.

After lunch I collected my free blanket here at the Golden Nugget and then went back over to the Golden Gate to get in more play.

I tried dollars this time. I lost the first 5 hands and on the 6th held A – K and hit four aces. The machine wouldn't give me anything so I moved to a different one. This machine was better and gave me some play. I hit a few more quads and then took a break with a $400 win.

I came back over here to the Golden Nugget and took a nap. A nap that lasted for 3 hours. I woke up when my friend called me and realized what time it was. Dinnertime. I had plans to meet Jim and his crew over at Chicago Brewing at Four Queens. I split a pizza with Jim and he charged the food to his room to use some of his food credit. Thanks for dinner Jim!

After dinner I went back to the Golden Gate to play more video poker. I started with dollars and blew through 2 bills in minutes even with dealt quad jacks.

I switched back to quarters and continued to get my ass kicked. The highlight of the session was dumping a junk hand and drawing quad queens. A few minutes later I hit queens again but that would be all. I dropped another $125 on quarters.

I had 8k in play for the day and decided to forego maxing out the coupon, went to the players club and got my $80 loaded. I ran that free play through a short pay game at the bar and turned it into $90 thanks to a few full houses.

With my play done for the day I hit a few penny games along the way back to the Golden Nugget. A few smaller hits and a small profit to wrap up the gambling for the day

I came back up to the room and got packed up for tomorrow's move.
