Day 9

I had plans to meet my aunt and uncle for breakfast here at Rampart at 9am. We went to Earl Grey Cafe and I got deuces wild. French Toast, 2 eggs over easy, bacon, sausage and potatoes. The food was fine except the eggs being overcooked. It was a good time with my aunt and uncle. Jimbo and Katy arrived and would also be staying here for the next few days.

After breakfast it was time to play. Today is 5x points on VP today and 10x points on slots so the plan was to pound away as much as possible today to take advantage of this. Now, while it sounds great, earlier this year Rampart devalued their points by 80%. Normally I wouldn't reward a casino with my play for doing something like that but, with a $1200 mailer, they are getting a pass.

I was playing 10 play and was getting beaten up pretty good when I got dealt quad sevens to get back into it. Soon after I hit aces and a bunch of other quads and dealt winners. I went from being down $300 to up $300. I continued to play and started losing again. I decide to cash out with a $3 win and take a short break.

In the next session it was total devastation as I blew through 5 bills on only 6k in action. No dealt winners and only a few quads.

I came upstairs for a break for about an hour or so and then got ready for dinner.

For dinner the three of us went over to Red Rock to meet up with Norm to go to Osteria Fiorella, their Italian restaurant. Yahtzee Mike and Camela who arrived in town earlier today also met us there. I have never been here before so looking forward to it. I got Cannelloni. Quite good and I'd get it again. For dessert I got the citrus semifredo with lemon sorbet that was outstanding. I want to go back and just eat desserts.

When we were done with dinner me, Jimbo & Katy came back to Rampart and got in some more play.

I hit the 10 plays again and was getting destroyed. I was down $300 on $1200 in action. To change things up and switched machines. Total different experience here. Quads were coming regularly and I was getting some dealt winners. The highlight was getting deal quad aces. This was followed up a little later with a dealt straight flush. The quads, including aces kept coming and I also hit 3 more straight flushes.

It was getting late so I ran today's $400 free play through dime deuces turning it into $355 cash and wrapped up the night.
