Day 12
Saturday December 25, 2021
Merry Christmas
Today is Christmas and today is my 51st birthday.

Started the day with e-mails and phone calls with friends and family.

This was followed by brunch with Mike, Camela, Jimbo & Katy at Earl Grey Cafe. I had Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Soup. Really good and should be enough to hold me until dinner.

Now it was time to play. I hit the 10 plays and had the worst session someone could have. I blew through a grand on just over 6k in action. This shit can't continue or not only am I going to get killed, I'm not going to get any action in.

I took a walk around playing some penny games with some small losses. I had to keep with the theme.

I decided to try my luck at craps. This started out the same way as VP and slots. It finally turned and we had a few good shooters that got me back to even and then the profits started rolling in. A few more good shooters kept the chips rolling in. After two shooters that went one and done I colored up with a $650 win. This really eased the pain of the earlier VP losses.

Next up was another round of video poker. Bumpy session that started out well with some dealt winners and quads. Soon after the bleed started. Things turned around a bit when I was dealt RF4 and landed my second royal flush of the trip. I cashed out with a $500 win which kind sucked after hitting a royal.

For dinner I had reservations at Hawthorne Grill, the steakhouse here at Rampart. Also joining me were Jimbo, Katy, Mike, Camela, Anne, Steve and Stacy and her mom who is also named Kathy. Today is also Steve's birthday. I had French Onion Soup and a rib eye. Food was excellent and we all had a good time. The gang also bought me and Steve a birthday cake that was very good.

After dinner we all hit the casino and then said our good byes as I would be leaving town tomorrow, Mike and Camela are going home and Jimbo & Katy are going home on Monday.

In a final round of video poker for the day I had a fairly decent run. No major hits other than holding trip aces and landing the quad on two lines. Everything else was just “stuff” as Dee used to call it. I cashed out with a $400 win. Even though I was down for the day on video poker even after hitting a royal, things turned out pretty good.

I came back to the room and started packing up for the move tomorrow.

Total Win/Loss For The Day = + $512
Total Comps For The Day = $944
