Day 3
Tuesday February 1, 2022
Got up to start the day with breakfast over at Magnolia's with Wayne and Jim. Went with the corned beef hash, two eggs over easy and rye toast. Service a bit slow but the food was good. Jim covered the tab with his room credit. Thanks for breakfast Jim.

Today would be similar to yesterday with play at both Binion's and the Four Queens. The difference is the offers are only for $400 free play instead of $500.

I started with action at Binion's. Tough start to the session but aces pulled me out of a hole. A few more quads along the way but not enough and I found myself in another hole. I was in the ever dangerous last 100 points or so and bleeding to death when I hit a second set of aces.

When I was done with the play I was down $225. I went over to the players club to have the bonus $50 added to my card and collected my jeweled tiger which I gave away. I also got my daily slot tournament entry.

I ran my $450 free play through halves and turned it into $420 cash thanks to quad sixes.

Now time to go over to the Four Queens and repeat the process. Being that I'm leaving tonight time was more important so I decided to do the play on short pay multi line.

I got the rest of the play in over at Four Queens. Since it was a few days ago (writing this part days after I got home) I forget most of the details and didn't take notes. I switched back and forth between single line halves and penny 100 play. A few decent dealt winners helped keep things smooth but I didn't hit any royals today.

I ran my free play through single line halves and turned it into $450 cash thanks to a straight flush. Thankfully I hit that because I didn't hit much else.

It was too early for dinner so wandered around Fremont Street and played some penny games. No wins and a few small losses.

For an early dinner I went to Benny's Smokin'g BBQ and Brews with Wayne, Jim and his frat buddy Tom. I got brisket. Quite good but not as tender as it usually is. Jim and Wayne covered the bill with their room credits. Thanks for dinner guys.

This pretty much wrapped up the day and it was time to get ready to head to the airport.

I came up to the room, grabbed my things and headed out the door. Wayne had moved his flight to tonight and was leaving at the same time as I was so we went to the airport together.

On the way to the airport I topped off the gas tank of the car and went to the rental car center to make the return. This went well.

I hopped on the shuttle to the airport and was on my way to security because I had already checked in online. This was quite good. There couldn't have been more than 50 people here.

I had plenty of time before the flight so wandered around and played a few penny slots. A few good hits saw a small profit for the night.

When it was time to board I took my seat, 1A again. This is flight 2378 non stop to Newark scheduled to depart at 10:35pm and arrive in Newark at 6:18am with a flight time of 4 hours and 43 minutes. The standard announcement was made telling us it would only take 4:04.

After we took off we were offered dinner. The choices were the same chicken or polenta. I went with the chicken yet again. Tonight it came with a dinner roll, fruit and a chocolate chip cookie.

I spent the rest of the flight watching TV, playing games and sleeping. Before I knew it we were making out final approach into Newark.

I was the second one off the plane and on my way to the air train to the parking garage. It's nice just having a carry on here in Newark because they really suck at baggage handling here.

I was in my car and on my way home at 6:03am. The ride home was fairly smooth but I did hit some of the morning rush down here in the NYC area.

After a quick stop at the store, at 7:30am I pulled into the driveway as this mini trip came to an end (and I'm still a registered guest at the Golden Nugget)
