Day 2

I started the day off here at the Orleans with a little bit of action. All 8/5 bonus and dropped $100. No major hits or losses along the way.

I had enough points for the gift of the week and collected a charging valet used for charging cell phones and storing junk.

I left the Orleans and went downtown. For lunch I went to deli. I got the usual cheeseburger.

I decided to play at Golden Gate today. Not a good choice. I was just getting pummeled on $1 8/5 bonus. Down a grand with very little action in I took a Hail Mary and switched to DDB. About 10 hands in holding a lone ace I popped 4 aces with a kicker for $2000. I switched back to bonus and so did the slaughter continue. Quads were not coming. Almost being even on the day (something I hate after getting a w2g) I took another Hail Mary and landed quad fours (no kicker) and cashed out.

I had some time before dinner so wandered around playing some penny games with a few small wins along the way but nothing major.

Dinner was at Top of Binion's Steakhouse with my friend Jim. It finally opened up again after over two years when the pandemic shut everything down. I got the Cowboy Ribeye (24oz. Bone in) with a side of risotto. Steak was good and the risotto was excellent. All in all the meal was good and we had a good time.

After dinner I came back to the Orleans to get a little slot play in. A few bonus rounds helped to pocket out a bit.

I finished the night up here in the room with some TV.
