Day 6

Another tough day because it would have been my 12th anniversary if Dee were still with us.

I started off hitting the casino and 10 play video poker. Up and down session and aces and a few dealt winners had me doubled up. Lost everything I was up and cashed out even.

I played some slots after this and got smacked around a bit.

I went to the buffet for lunch. Not bad but some of the stuff I had was way too salty.

I left Rampart and went out to pick up Jimbo & Katy from the airport. I left really early to avoid any traffic and got down into the valley way too early.

I decided to go to Wynn and shoot some dice. I didn't have much cash on me so I took out a marker. This started out terribly. It was fun watching a guy buy in with $50,000 in markers making huge bets though. We're talking $1000 hard ways, $500 props and $3000 place bets. It was fun watching him get paid 9 grand when a hard way hit.

We were all getting our asses kicked. We'd just start getting going and then the 7 would come. I took more cash out of my pocket, against my better judgment and kept playing. In this case bad judgment paid off (NOT recommended!).

I got the dice and went on a roll for 40+ minutes with just 4 of us at the table. Because it had been so bad I was afraid to press my bets but eventually did in what was my longest roll ever (Mr. High Roller next to me made well over $100,000 on my roll). The next shooter did well rolling 10-15 minutes. I would have liked to have stayed longer but I had to get going to the airport. This was probably a good thing though because I know how quickly a table can turn (in either direction). I colored up, paid back my marker and went to the cage where I collected over 4 large in one of my biggest wins ever. If I wasn't down over a grand before it would have been my biggest win ever too.

I headed down to the airport to pick up Jimbo & Katy. They usually get a car but the rates were high so they are skipping it for part of the trip.

We got back to Rampart and they checked in and we went to dinner at Earl Grey Cafe. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup again tonight because it was so good last night.

Next up was video poker. I simply put, couldn't hit shit. I blew through 3 bills with no major hit. Another $200 reload and things smoothed out until they went south again. I dropped close to 5 bills.

I finished the night running today's $175 in free play through deuces for dimes and turned it into $502 cash. I played longer than just the free play and hit deuces 3 times and got dealt a wild royal.

A few more slots and cut some of the losses from this morning thanks to a few bonuses.

I came up to the room after that and called it a night.
