Day 8

I got up and got ready for the day. Hit the casino around 9am for the final day here at Rampart.

We all got together and went to breakfast at Early Grey. I had an omelet with sausage and cheese. It came with potatoes and toast.

After breakfast it was time to play. Had a good long run on 10 play doing over 6k but losing 5 bills.

Took a walk and played a few penny games and then stopped off and played at short pay Super Triple Play video poker machine. Got lucky and had trip aces dealt and pulled the quad on the bottom line for a $300 hit. A few hands later pulled a straight flush for 750 coins to get out with a $200 win.

Went back to the original machine I was on where everyone else was still playing and had a great run hitting lots of “stuff” as Dee used to call it. I also went on a run of getting dealt winners. Somewhere around 10-12 full houses and quite a few straights and full houses. Quads were also running well. Cashed out the session up over $500.

Took a short break in the Summerlin Room for some snacks. Offerings weren't very good today but the ice cream worked.

Back at the machines again after the break and got crushed on Spin Poker to the tune of $500.

Found Jimbo playing and joined him on 10 play. I had a great run again and in the highlight of the day for me held a lone ace and popped a royal on line 10.

I came up to the room for a short break before dinner.

For dinner I went to Jade with Jimbo & Katy and their friends Steve, Dani and Diane. We ordered a bunch of dishes family style and shared everything. Good food and a good time had by all.

After dinner it was back to the machines. Had a terrific run with lots of stuff again and turned a profit of a few more hundred. One key hand was getting a triple bonus quad. Things were going south so cashed out and took a short break. Went to see my host and set up a few things for the next stay in July.

Went back to the machines for one more session. Fairly smooth with exception of not being able to hit a quad holding trips. I was 1 out of 16 during the session. Managed to hit 3 straight flushes during this run and did hit lots of quads holding 1 or 2 cards. During this time I ran over 17k through the machine and won $2. Now that is an impressive run.

I had enough video poker for the day having run through over 40k in action so wandered around playing some penny games with a few small wins to add to the pile today.

I had enough play in for the day and for this leg of the trip so wrapped things up and came to the room. I packed up most of my things in preparation for tomorrow's move and went to bed.
