My Favorite Place
On a warm summers day
With perfume filling the air
I drift off to dream
Of places I've yet to see
The World is so full and young
with treasures waiting all around
Dreaming I struggle to find the doorway
Waiting to enter an elegent place
My imagination is running
My path is well lit
To begin this fresh journey
And discover a world I have yet to see
Paris Rome or Amsterdam
A splendid ride to Neverland?
New York Chicago or just plain old home
Where would become my favorite place
This dream would momentarily take me too
I think of buildings very high
with seaqulls
circling everywhere
Traffic lights and people rushing
Citys filled with vigor and confusion
Neon lights---with much amusement.
On this summer night--I awake to find
This dream is something that has come and gone
Where's my serene and quiet home?
Where I sit and dream of many places
But home is where I always end
Till its time to leave again.
This summer night
My home is
My favorite place to be.
