We are a do it yourself program so for you to get ahead,
you'll need to participate, participate, participate.
Ways To Jump Start Your Progress
- At meetings, be part of the program regularly.
- In the club, become part of the executive committee.
- Enter contests, you will be stretching yourself.
- Attend contests at all levels, including International, so you can learn by listening.
- Visit other clubs and bring new energy back to your club.
- Go to training sessions and mingle with other Toastmasters.
- Invite other Toastmasters to your club.
- Participate in the Toastmaster newsgroup at: alt.org.toastmasters
- Check other Toastmaster sites on the web - my links are rich with ideas.
- Read A Toastmasters Promise (see below).
- Tape record your speeches. This enables you to hear yourself and to time the speech.
