I know you are troubled deep inside, Though your feelings you try to hide. And though your heart may be in pain You give love to others time and time again.
You work your fingers to the bone, The Lion's share you take on alone But still you find time to give a smile or lend a hand or talk awhile.
But I think the time has come to let a few things go-- The frustrations and anger with yourself that prevent you from giving without reserve. And the guilt you feel about someone you love pain taken on but not deserved.
You need to accept, my friend that you are just who you are. And even your faults have infinite worth to the One whose precious creature you are.
I myself am honored to call you friend And I hate to see you in despair So when lonely sadness finds its way to you Please remember.....that I care.
