POEMS FOR MOMMIES

"House in Pooh Corner" by Kenny Loggins
Thanks, Kenny, for touching our souls thru your music!

These poems were written by ~*YOURS TRULY*~ inspired by my sisters who freely shared their emotions with me on being Mommies (much thanks to Kathie, Karol, Kolleen and Anne!)...these are my favorite writings by far due to the "warm fuzzy" feelings that just naturally go with babies! So for all you Mommies...and Mommies-to-be....ENJOY!

FOR THE MOMMY~TO~BE

The miracle of birth is about to unfold
A newborn baby for all to behold!
To touch your lives with so much joy
Whether it's a girl, or it's a boy
To fill your heart with so much love
God's little wonder sent from above!

MR. SANDMAN

Say goodnight, my baby blue
Mr. Sandman's waiting for you.
Sweet things dancing in your dreams
Like lollipops and ice cream
White fluffy clouds on sunshiny days
As the carousel turns while the music plays.
Give Mommy a kiss as I tuck you in bed
Let loving thoughts fill your little head
I love you so much, my baby boy
You've filled my heart with so much joy
So say goodnight, and sweet dreams, too
And remember that Mom will always love you!

BABY GIRL'S LULLABY

Come and sit upon my lap, and I'll sing you a lullaby
Snuggle in, I'll hold you close
My little girl, now don't you cry
Rock-a-bye and sing with me
As I stroke your hair so tenderly.
Let's count your fingers and your toes
Two ears, two eyes, one button nose.
Now let's try to count the sheep
As I rock my baby..sound asleep.

You've been blessed with the greatest gift ever to be received~
The precious love of a child.
The wonder and innocence shining in the eyes of this little person.
Totally unaware of any problems and prejudices of the world.
Take a look at your child at play~
Trying to catch a sunbeam, or giggling at a butterfly in motion.
At that moment, stop and look
Time will never repeat what you just observed.
Take time out for your little one
Teach him right from wrong.
Before you push him aside, remember you are his teacher.
Give him all the love you have to offer,
Show him how to love in return.
God has chosen you to have the ability to conceive.
Don't neglect the gift you have been given...
'Cause remember, not everyone is so lucky.
