STILL SHE CRIES
She sighs,
alone, curled up in
her favorite part of the room,
Her corner.
A tear finds its way
past the barrier of her heart.
Slowly,
tumbles down her cheek.
One solitary tear.
One solitary heart.
Alone.
She feels so alone,
as if no one in the world
cares to see her face.
Her hollow face,
empty of love,
empty of truth,
empty of a soul.
her eyes are black.
They only know despair.
If she only knew
that there was one heart
out there that cared.
If she only knew the touch of
someone who loved her.
If she only saw the ecstasy
in the eyes of a soul who
wished to be only with her.
In a catatonic trance,
she pulls a blade.
The skin in broken,
like her aching heart.
The blood trickles
from her veins,
and forms a forbidding pool
on the floor.
She will never know that
there was a single heart
about to phone her.
About to pronounce
his love for her.
She will never know.

FORGOTTEN DREAMS
Dreams
remind me of things
I have long forgotten.
Memories
hidden away in the
secret drawers of my brain.
But in a pretense
the clouds briefly clear,
and a small glimpse of
the past is perceptible.
The images
are strange, and unreal
yet they seem intensely familiar.
I feel
at home in these
forgotten places.
I am more accepted there
than I ever could be
in this hellish existance,
And so I sleep...

TINGES OF REALIZATION
The sun's warm
rays shine down
upon sinful minds
Clouds threaten
overhead as
the cleansing rain
gently falls
The wind blows
in the sweet
fragrances of
life and love
Lightning flies
in the darkness
and the heat
of the night
And each soul is free

KISS OF DAWN
The sun rises over
the shrouded hills,
and morning has come.
A stretch of delicate clouds,
a yawn of dew dropped leaves,
a kiss from Diana,
and the earth is awake.
And as the two lovers arouse,
content in each others’ arms,
the birds sing a song
of beauty and love.
As the sun hugs
the new sky,
so the lovers hug
in perpetual bliss,
and all is as should be.

JUSTIFIED
everything I touch I break
and I'll break you too
everything I touch I hate
and I'll hate you too
for my eyes are black
as the darkest sky
and my soul is bruised
yet no one admits why
I no longer love
I've forgotten how
and sex is just a game
that I must win somehow
they all lure me in
and eventually throw me away
so my heart is merely scars
but I might get through this day
so I continue to play a puppet
my body just a toy
hanging on the threads of life
misused by every boy
now I ask the question
to which every one has lied
if I left my body now
would I be justified?

FIRST TASTE
His eyes are bright
so filled with hope
but he hides his glorious smile
behind thoughts
of the lost days of ago.
Yet still, his kisses are warm
and passionate as
he shares himself with me.
And his love so sweet,
like strawberries
at midsummer's birth.
In his silence,
a sense of wonder,
of love, of purity.
So as he sleeps here,
by my side,
I am content in knowing
he loves me.

ALWAYS WANTED
He lies there sleeping,
no longer a stranger
in my bed.
A playful smile
dances upon his lips
and I wonder what he is dreaming.
By the candle light
I see blissfully closed eyes,
blocking out the shadows.
And all intertwined
in my blankets
and my body,
he sighs as a man
who finally has what he's
always wanted.
